A good television station would have forced Hidaglo to resign after steering that $11 million COVID contract to a single person 'firm'. A middle-of-the-road station would have gotten her to resign once her top staff members were indicted, or at the very minimum, pressed her on it to no end, where she would have undoubtedly made a fool of herself, like she did here. The reason why she got reelected was because bottom-of-the-barrel Channel 13 was--and still is--too afraid to ask the kid judge real questions. It wasn't just the Eyewitness News logo and your graphics that received a big downgrade; your reporting has done the same too.
Also Rotten Rodney Ellis is protecting her because her shenanigans can be traced back to him.

I’m against the disrespect, racism and sexism that the county judge faces. I think at times people do go too far with her. That being said I think it’s time for her to go because it seems she can’t be resilient enough to let her work speak for her. And I want to say I am a black woman, I voted for judge Emmett because as a social worker in harris county he had interest in the demographics, populations, and interest that I serve of mental health, child and elderly welfare, homeless, and those with substance use issues. I still don’t know where Hildalgo came from and what her qualifications were. 🤦🏾♀️

Yeah if this was a random workplace job, even something distinguished like a high profile administrative job, I could understand a meltdown like this.....but she's the damn county judge. She gets the power, prestige and money with that title. She doesn't have the right tough steel in her if a rude city council gets to her like this. If someone doesn't say hi to you, just glare at them back and don't pay them mind. I've met people that are assistant managers at McDonald's that could handle the pressure better than her. Lina Hidalgo only won because of straight ticket voting in a year when people were voting against Trump and just voted all Democrat. That and she went to an Ivy League type school, like Stanford or something. Otherwise, Ed Emmett would have easily been reelected. Can you imagine Ed Emmett getting so butthurt just because people don't say hi to him or glare at him?
