Have you heard of Dead Fred? It’s a photograph site for genealogists looking for photographs of loved ones and ancestors. I bet they would love scans of some of those old photographs. For instance, I received a photograph of my grandfather from a lady who bought an old photograph album from a flea market in Virginia, such as you did. My mother and I didn’t even know that he had been pen pals with a woman there before he married my grandmother, so that piece of news gave me another fact to put on his timeline at Ancestry. I was thrilled. 😁
