Having seen them multiple times, Flore was the "heart" of the band. (Those who have seen recent concerts will understand this reference.) Charles and each of the musicians are equally and incredibly skillful, but the sound is them, WITH her. Sure, they were solely instrumental at the beginning, and she did not join until 2015. But, the explosion of success, the vibe that lit-up stages all over the world, and the magic that was The Empress, was the combination. No avoiding that. I am very, very sad that she felt such pressure and angst. Someone as talented and dynamic as this woman deserved so much better from her partners. THANK YOU, Flore. You will be terribly missed by fans worldwide. À bientôt!

J'ai découvert l'Impératrice il y a deux ans et j'ai vu deux concerts dont un dans le village (Lacoste) ou Flore a grandi. Je ressens comme vous un grand sentiment d'injustice envers Flore.
While you are right that Flore was amazing and in some ways 'defined' the band as being the 'lead', the band with Louve live is really damn amazing. Many bands have survived losing a singer and from what I've experienced so far, we're still in for a damn good ride.

Saw them yesterday in Barcelona, also the bassist wasnt playing. I saw them 3 times and i think musical conexion before was better. More spontaneus, also is true that Louve is still beggining and learning the songs, so time will say if they get as they were before

it seems that they dont understand that the way Flore sang, that brought the charm and Beauty to the sound of the band. They wanted someone loud. And yes, David is insane on The Bass. And Flore… how i miss her.
I absolutely adore their previous concert and revisit it often, but this one goes SO FAR above and beyond it in every way. I couldn't ask for a better performance and the aesthetic is👌🏾

Désolée de lire tout ce que tu as subi, Flore. En même temps, je suis également auteur-compositeur, j'ai fait de petits concerts, France et étranger, jusqu'à il y a 9 ans et j'ai ressenti des ondes délétères dans ce milieu, beaucoup d'ego, beaucoup de pression (comme dans chaque discipline artistique en France) pour "raccrocher". Beaucoup de jalousie en fait. Raccrocher, c'est quelque chose que je n'ai jamais fait ni dans la thérapie, ni dans la musique, le dessin ou l'écriture de livres. Raccrocher fait trop d'heureux parmi ceux qui vibrent bas... Fais les choses seule et à ton rythme, garde ta profonde authenticité. Continue toujours... de continuer ! Au final c'est l'amour que tu mets dans cela qui compte réellement. Bien sincèrement.

On aura beau dire en France, même si beaucoup de choses s'effondrent dans ce pays, en musique en revanche, dans l'electro pop, funk etc... Nous avons les meilleurs artistes du monde, et je pèse mes mots (Daft Punk, Justice, l'Impératrice, Parcels, Vendredi sur Mer, Polo et Pan, Paradis, Dabeull, Vitalic etc....). Oui dans ce domaine on peut être fier d'être français.
I have seen them live on their album release day. Playing those songs so tight for the first time in front of a crowd is just insane. This band is insane - I will probably skip studying for this record today!

It looks like l'impératric reaches milestones in music history. Once there was an outstanding band called "Abba" inventing tremendous melodies melted in a mélange of intelligent rythmpatterns. All over, world wide people where completely enthusiastic. A new favorite of course is this glowing diamant of smooth and modern funk-pop, too. Is it funk-pop only? No ,here we got an extremly variable band, with nearly perfect homespots deeply settled within Funk, Pop, Jazz, even classics and able to mix it together with very intelligent cool touches of styles domiciled all over the world. Doesn't surprise: The genuine original founder himself worked over years in music critics! Till he decided to built up an own band: What a golden moment, surprise and luck for all of us. But its the outstanding band of course melting together various nearly perfect musicians to constitute a unique sound and sometimes higly intelligent critical lyrics, clear, open minded, friendly and very wise: Such "melting together" of band members are so rare. I'm deeply grateful to her majesty: Thank you so much l'impératrice, you help me to get trough these "heavy times" and not to sink into disappointment, or may be depression. Thank you very, very much, my artists.

I bought a ticket one year ago for the concert in London. I went yesterday, and no Flore, and no David. Disappointed.
I saw them last week and I really like it anyways. It's unfortunate but I'm impressed even more that they pulled it off

It looks like l'impératric reaches milestones in music history.
Once there was an outstanding band called "Abba" inventing tremendous melodies melted in a mélange of intelligent rythmpatterns. All over, world wide people where completely enthusiastic.
A new favorite of course is this glowing diamant of smooth and modern funk-pop, too.
Is it funk-pop only? No ,here we got an extremly variable band, with nearly perfect homespots deeply settled within Funk, Pop, Jazz, even classics and able to mix it together with very intelligent cool touches of styles domiciled all over the world. Doesn't surprise: The genuine original founder himself worked over years in music critics! Till he decided to built up an own band: What a golden moment, surprise and luck for all of us.
But its the outstanding band of course melting together various nearly perfect musicians to constitute a unique sound and sometimes higly intelligent critical lyrics, clear, open minded, friendly and very wise:
