It’s the facts that they had the balls to cover a Stevie Wonder song says a lot by itself. It’s also the fact that the song is actually just as good as the original is fucking mind blowing. Never would I thought that could ever be possible, but Intro really did him more than justice with their version. The remix will forever be my favorite version of this song.
The original was incredible, but this was the version that I loved to hear. The end of the song, it still plays in my head to this day! They do a gorgeous job here:)
The beat is so hypnotising and their voices are just pure divine majic. It's just an exceptional marriage of the two. Every time I listen to both the original and the remix I always cry tears of happiness. May your soul continue to rest in enternal peace my brother Kenny Greene 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. A ribbon will always be the sky for you Kenny. With God on our side we cant lose. Indeed we will find strength in each tear we cry 🙏🏽🌹
Thank You So Very Much For Posting This One! Kenny was one of the best vocalists to ever come out of the 90's. He was a brilliant song writer (laced Mary J. Blige with quite a few hits). He really showed his Detroit gospel roots on the end of this remix (The Clark Sisters joint).
See why the pictures were taken down near the end of the song, so the listener could focus on the vocals there. They are absolutely amazing, and was one reason I fell in love with this remix when I was a kid, listening to this at night on the Quiet Storm. This song is so amazing, but the what's going on vocally at the end of it, WOW:)
I really miss that cat, Kenny...his vocal style is so very Detroit. You can hear Marvin Winans, The Clark Sisters, and so many other gospel artists who are from that city.
Now this is a true remix! Probably the best remix of ribbon in the sky that I've heard. I may only be 19 but I love 70s, 80s, and 90s, music.... the 90s had a hit factory. Damn i wish real music still existed
Cornell Young fortunately it does. Music has no "expiration date". Doesn't matter when or where it was created. Real musicians and artist intended to make timeless music.
I was hoping someone noticed it...the coolest thing about that is that The Clarke Sisters remixed "Master Blaster" by Stevie as well for "You Are The Sunshine"...full circle.
Don't sleep on the whole Untouchables Ent crew that were based out of Closter, New Jerz. They were the Bad Boy Hit Men before Hit Men existed. Dave "Jam" Hall was the ringleader (yes DJ Eddie F was but in terms of hits though??)
This has to be one of my favorite remixes of all time. The instrumental for this record is out of this world. I have a strong love for 90's production New Jack Swing sound. Rest in Heaven Kenny Green. 1:38
Intro was and still is my favorite group.of the 90"s .I miss the extraordinary talent that Kenny had the midas touch..everything he touched turned to gold ...I miss you Kenny ....RIP
What a legitimate ill cover from Intro. Time and time again, artists have tried to replicate the same magic that made original versions the sensational classics they are... and have failed drastically. However, what Intro does here would make Stevie Wonder smile. This is classic.
This made me go listen to the end of that song, and you were right. They did this alot in the 90s, where they would basically give little vocal nods to the past of R&B, and I miss that.
every now and then I have to take a trip down memory lane and listen to the classics and how I wish music was still like this.my how things have changed.
2019 and I still listen to this remix EVERYDAY! Oh how miss the remixes of Intro, Jodeci and SWV. The producers of the 90s knew how to remix and make the song better than the original.
This is a very good remake of a classic song as well as a very good remix. I remember I would wait by the radio for this song cuz I loved it so much. And, while I loved the entire song, it was the backhalf of this song that had me loving it so much. Loved how they had it arranged so beautifully:)
@fruitpassion50 I appreciate you getting back to me on this. After I sang it to myself a few times I remembered and looked it up. Downloaded that too. Thanks again
This takes me back to my senior year in High School.... I loved their spin on this song. Very few can touch a Stevie Song and NOT mess it up.....they did the dayum thing! thanx for uploading this! I've been on a 90's music vibe today....

True lyrics rt here
It’s a shame they don’t make music like this anymore. This is one of the few remixes that just sound just as good or better than the original.
The original was incredible, but this was the version that I loved to hear. The end of the song, it still plays in my head to this day! They do a gorgeous job here:)
Yea man they killed the end
@Mr. No Weapon (The Prince Of The Talkbox) a

i miss the 90s. no one releases remixes to radio anymore. its a lost art.

damn you're right! remixes are what made the 90's era
Goosebumps listening to this mix still 2020 .... Wow!
This guy really had talent. He could re-do songs that sound better han the original. Another great talent lost. God got him,he only wants the best.

AMEN !!!!!

I really miss that cat, Kenny...his vocal style is so very Detroit. You can hear Marvin Winans, The Clark Sisters, and so many other gospel artists who are from that city.
Dope remix!
Yes facts if you're black male singer born from 1968 to 1989 Marvin Winans and Stevie Wonder influenced your vocal style
Yeah, Fred Hammond and Commissioned were their mentors
@@zacmitchell4754they were inspired by them but not their mentors
Nobody can touch the 90s
Nobody
Nobody
Nobody
This takes me back to my high school days....what incredible music to come of age to
Still will NEVER get old!

Yep!
Yeahhh they did lol
I was hoping someone noticed it...the coolest thing about that is that The Clarke Sisters remixed "Master Blaster" by Stevie as well for "You Are The Sunshine"...full circle.
Yep, they grew up listening to gospel, they took their influences to the R&B world
MizzLiyah 32 u know ur music honey 😉
The way Kenny and Nevelle took their already updated version of this song and remixed it is just amazing
Glad somebody knew about Nevelle Hodge.
@@kakalakraw Novelle Hodge is the bomb. Listen to some beat seit from him and Kenny Smoove

This has to be one of my favorite remixes of all time. The instrumental for this record is out of this world. I have a strong love for 90's production New Jack Swing sound. Rest in Heaven Kenny Green.

That Clark Sisters bridge at the end was tight...bring back the 90s!!!..LOL
