Don't fret too much though, the $1400 wonder cam actually was custom made for arctic northern lights photography: toasty overheats within seconds, made to keep hands warm. Then toss it in the backpack, why? Camera has shutdown. Within seconds the most fantastic aurora ever seen explodes in the heavens above. The Aurora Gods laugh while the $1400 cam freezes solid in the bottom of the backpack. Next time, a brass pinhole camera will give us better luck. 😎😎
It looks like you will have to wait for new versions of these cameras to have access to these upgrades. But looking at sony's policy, it will be better to wait longer for cheaper cameras richer in software solutions
If it basically functions as well as the ZV-E10 but can do 10bit 4.2.2, I might be tempted depending on price. Weather sealing and a dual base ISO with better LL and less rolling shutter would be awesome too.

I was thinking of getting an FX30 for video production and set aside my A7 III mainly for photos only but if this new ASP-C camera is more than capable at doing both plus doesn't overheat or slight limitations then we might have a winner.
The thing that has been stopping me from getting the FX30 is the lack of any photo capabilities and the terrible pricing here in South Africa. The ZV E1 is less than $100 more in price here and definitely makes more sense...

Excuse me. Now the tool in hand is A6600 with 18-105 f4, but when focusing, the screen never shows the white frame or green frame of the focus area in your image. Can you tell me what focus area to use under what circumstances? This problem has plagued me for three years! thank you
It's just an upgraded version of the α6600, the α6700. The more expensive starting price makes me wonder why I didn't buy the Fujifilm X-H2 instead of the α6700. Even with the S-cinetone color profiles, each series comes with different S-cinetone colors. Workflow color matching is also different. When camera A is FX6 and camera B is α7SIII. α7IV with the same S-cinetone color is different from FX6.
If the S-cinetone color of α6700 would match α7IV. Then I'd be happy to buy the α6700 to use as a secondary seat for the α7IV, which must be much lighter than the α7IV, at least in terms of weight portability
@@wildhalo6009 You will be so lucky when u get that new a6700 as your backup cam cause every shot u make will always be good & true with the one card slot. Also u get a nice handwarmer with that cam. Great for arctic aurora shooting, cause as your hands get nice & warm from the toasty feeling u get with that cam, it will shutdown. Toss it in your backpack then so it can freeze solid. Overhead will be the best northern lights ever seen exploding. So it goes, u are okay and confident, you're a pro photographer. Smile while the Aurora Gods laugh, laugh with them. 😎😎
The a6600 is one of the best selling and longest running mirrorless cameras in history. The a7700 is standing on the shoulders of a giant. Looking forward to getting it in for review.
It figures that my A7 IV gets delivered today and the A6700 got announced yesterday 🙂 I sold my A350 and replacing with the A7 because my A5100 didn't have a view finder and I wasn't going to invest in 3 year old A6600 tech. Glad to see that Sony didn't abandon the A6xxx series and APS-C.
This camera will do video better than the 50,000 dollar gear used twenty years ago. For $1500, or whatever the price may be, you'd have to be clueless to the history of the technology to say anything but "damn this is awesome!"
