*Bought one for myself years ago, liked it so much bought one at Xmas for each of my kids **MyBest.Kitchen** neices and nephew. This one was bought for my granddaughter. It's that good.*
Good Grief!! How much did the company PAY YOU to write these reviews??? I have tried at least 12 times to make this piece of JUNK (Tornado F4), placing it on a different spot 9 times, then 3 more just touching the button again to make it chug around a few more times. I finally used my old church key-type opener to pry it open - slicing my finger in the process when it finally opened. Since then, it doesn't even work well enough to be able to do that! How much did they pay you folks to tell these LIES! NOTICE TO POTENTIAL BELIEVERS OF THIS HOGWASH: This is a TOTAL waste of money.
I love my Tornado can opener. I've lost strength in my hands and can't do the manual can openers anymore. I gave up on the electric can openers years ago. The Tornado is so easy, Place it on top of can, Place cutter against side of can and hit the button. The sound will let you know when it is finished. Can buy at Wal-mart in Kitchen supplies.
Thanks for the review. I bought the tornado today at The Dollar General for $15.00. Am having some issues with my right hand due to an injury. My manual can opener is also a side cutter. I much prefer that! I'll try my rechargeable batteries to see how well they work. This might be a good can opener for fulltime RVing! 👍😊
I have the Tornado, because it is a one handed appliance and I've recently had hand surgery....I find it to be a good paper weight...managed to open 2 cans (friends did them as I was unsuccessful), batteries run down quick, possibly needs a battery change before 3 can is attempted... maybe I have a dud.... Works out VERY expensive because of battery changes.
Thanks! I got one yesterday that was going to be thrown away - I guess these days you would get the F4, so I don't know where this one came from. It's still in the package. If I were paying for it, I'd get one that doesn't require batteries - seems silly to have to keep paying for that. But I'll give this one a try once I pick up some batteries for it.
I have a manual can opener (crank kind) that has this newer technology and I use a magnet to lift the lid. It still hurts my hand to operate it. I would like to know how difficult the Hamilton B. is to clean after each use. You didn't show a close up of that one. Thanks for your videos I really appreciate them.
While a fancy electric can opener may seem like a silly luxury, over at least the past five years I've never had a manual can opener work for more than four months no matter how carefully I cleaned and babied it. I've probably spent enough to buy a Hamilton Beach electric can opener, a Tornado opener, *and* a good meal out for two.
I knew they seemed like nice people. Glad they will be helping you out. I am sure you will be posting video about the project as you go along- I look forward to seeing that.
So glad you do these reviews... Gonna open the package now. I've been waiting to decide if I was gonna keep the Tornado or just return it but after watching your review I'm gonna give it a try. By the way really enjoy your style. Keep on making videos - you do a great job!
Just used one and it worked great cut through the can like butter no complaints . I'm sure after a lot of uses it will eventually need to be replaced. The blade gets dull just like everthing else.
Hope it works better than the original push button ones that walmart. replaced twice cuz they only lasted like 3 or 4 months.. gave up after that wasnt worth the money. hope these are better.
If your family goes through a lot of cans your might be changing batteries regularly. We open 3 or 4 cans most days so we will mostly use the countertop model. But for single people it would be great.
Not mentioned, but HUGE benefit to the TORNADO should be for opening TALL Cans that are TOO TALL for you countertop 110vac/60htz can opener. Example TALL cans of Bush's Baked Beans or REALLY Tall cans of Tomato Juice.
I hate the tornado, mine did make the lid-lid not sharp but it leaves the top of the can sharp. Now I have no way to conceal the sharp top unlike the sharp lid where we can drop it in the open can
***** Please let me know if it happens to you as well or if mine is defective. I'd hate to think I'm not intelligent enough to just be able to press a button to open a can. lol
Technology tries to make everyone feel dumb. I checked the cans I opened yesterday and I can't say that the top of the can feels sharp. For me the edge of the can feels about the same as the edge of the cut off lid.
Dangerous...small slivers of metal, from the can, are left around the rim, after a month of use.I think there is another brand out there, and it has the same problem when cutting the lid.
He has been sick since the weekend and hasn't even been able to get videos up on his Ecig channel. I am still hoping he will get the Bacon Bowl up this week- have to wait and see.
Something I'm actually in the market for, I go through can openers hand held and pizza cutters, they alway snap, crack and break on me, either rivets or handles from dish washing. Thx P>S> Check out Camp Takota Grace Helbig you can find it on Viooz.com along with tons of movies before their released for dvd. Quality for this one is good and kid's would like it probably. I can't assure the legality of streaming from site but I've had no issues in the last three years and I think it's a China site. I think legal is like you tube music as long as not publically displayed and money made off of can be used for private viewing. I feel bad not to pay for movies like this one but I'm monetarily challanged and get all my music from you tube dl's and watch as many movie streaming sites as possible. Hope you see this movie it's good spirited for a you tube maker to movie screen girl Grace.
My brother has told me about Grace, back when she was Daily Grace, and now in her new incarnation. But, and this might be heresy to say, I have never seen her videos. I did know that she was making a "regular" movie and it is great when UA-camrs can "cross over" into other media. I will ask my kids what they know about it- anything fashionable they know about long before I get a clue.

I am going to get the electric smooth touch.
It does work. Sometimes it needs 2 or 3 rotations though before it does the job

Keep an old can opener around for tuna! Can't squeeze the juice out with the new style ones :)
Oh, I didn't think of that. Good point.
Leave the can on the table when the opener is operating so you viewers can see how long it takes to cut.
I still use the manual can opener 😂 I wonder if I should upgrade to your main can opener that you bought along with the Tornado can opener
The Tornado can opener would be great for camping!
That's a good thought- but be sure to bring extra batteries.

Kitchen mama is the one. Same with me and my hands. It fits in a drawer and is wonderful.
I tried a half dozen cans and mine didn't even start cutting any of them. Complete junk.
Have something similar to this. Sometimes it doesn't stop when it's suppose to though

I talked to sunshine loom! There going to donate some looms to my project. Thanks for the idea!
I knew they seemed like nice people. Glad they will be helping you out. I am sure you will be posting video about the project as you go along- I look forward to seeing that.
yes I will! and a video or videos for them!
What's your project? X
Hope all's well with your brother haven't seen any reviews from him in about a month
He is putting most of his energies into an Ecig channel that he does. But he has been sick the past week and not put videos up here or there.
So glad you do these reviews... Gonna open the package now. I've been waiting to decide if I was gonna keep the Tornado or just return it but after watching your review I'm gonna give it a try. By the way really enjoy your style. Keep on making videos - you do a great job!

After watching this I got the HB smooth touch can opener.... Tried to battery one before and it died on the first can. Really like the electric one.
Hope it works better than the original push button ones that walmart. replaced twice cuz they only lasted like 3 or 4 months.. gave up after that wasnt worth the money. hope these are better.
Thanks, put this away in a drawer forgot,I had it, and forgot how to use it!
How do you find these? Where can I purchase one??
This video is a few years old- they used to be in the As Seen On TV aisle at Walmart and Walgreen's. You might have to look for it online now.
we have an old one too! I'm getting this!

They don't hold up. I've had two now and both failed early on.
I hate the tornado, mine did make the lid-lid not sharp but it leaves the top of the can sharp. Now I have no way to conceal the sharp top unlike the sharp lid where we can drop it in the open can
Hmmm, I didn't notice that. I will have to check the next couple of cans I open with it.
***** Please let me know if it happens to you as well or if mine is defective. I'd hate to think I'm not intelligent enough to just be able to press a button to open a can. lol

***** Thank you! I will take this one back and get a replacement.
Thanks for the review.
Im fine with a hand crank opener. Sometimes "new" isnt really better.
You didn’t read the instructions for the kitchen mama 😂😂 the opener had a lid remover on the end.
Wall mounted hand crank .... OG
Thanks, I got the Tornado to work.
Can you do shutter the movie review
Horror movies really aren't my thing anymore. But if they come out with a new remake of Towering Inferno I will review that for you!
have you seen shutter
No, just looked it up briefly after you mentioned it.
towering inferno i have seen alot of horror movies but i have never heard of that
$20 for me is too much for a can opener, but I only eat canned food maybe once/week. I'll stick with my $5 can opener :)
When I was a kid I remember we only had the manual can opener in the kitchen drawer.
Dangerous...small slivers of metal, from the can, are left around the rim, after a month of use.I think there is another brand out there, and it has the same problem when cutting the lid.
I think I would rather th as seen on tv one, cuz I don't think I would use the precious real estate of the kitchen counter space on a can opener.
What happened to the brother making videos?
He has been sick since the weekend and hasn't even been able to get videos up on his Ecig channel. I am still hoping he will get the Bacon Bowl up this week- have to wait and see.
I had a different brand that worked great for about 5 years , not very pleased with this one, maybe using it more will improve my opinion.
It has lasted us a couple years or pretty regular use. Not perfect but most of the time it works fine.
i don't like these, i bought a hand twist model from QVC that cuts from outside leaves smooth edges it's great, sometimes the old way is the best way
We started with the electric models after I hurt my wrist and it took several months to recover. I guess we were just spoiled after that.
Everything is going to pop-tops. Pretty soon we won't need can openers.
Yes, I could see that happening.
My wife love it, but I haven't seen her open a can with it.
It can be used with large cans wothout havingto hold the can.
Just a question but there's two men on here. How do you guys know each other?
We are brothers. But we live 2000 miles apart so we don't get into videos together.
Thank you :) And thats a shame! You guys look nothing alike haha but love you both.
The only place on UA-cam without TØP fandoms
Is that a good thing? Roxanna is a big MCR fan.
we used the tornado 6 times and it locked up. the tornado sucks.

H-E-B veggie cans!
3:05 to skip the rambling babble about nothing
Jesus Christ get on with it!!
Heb!! :)
why do men always talk so much on how to videos ???
