- Demchok is a village located in the eastern part of Ladakh, in the union territory of Ladakh, India. It is situated along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) that separates from Chinese-administered territory. Actually, there is one more village by name of OLD Demchok village

For development projects- Already working but for 70 years work wasn't done so it will take time.
In 1959 - Indian Army told PM NEHRU that CHINA is building roads and infrastructure on their side so we should also build but he didn't and we lost 1962 war.
So upto 2030, we will be having equal infrastructure.
Laddakh have big potential of tourism
People from different parts of our country should visit laddakh
The govt is helping and is doing development there, that's why the roads are being built so transportation becomes easy and eases and fastens development of all the things

Thanks for bringing me back of. Old memories of Demchok and Koyal gaon. Used to take bath almost on alternative days at Hot spring even under -20 degree temperature in December and January.

If you compare the roads of Indian side and Chinese side, the difference is clear. Near Chushul towards Rezang La, we came to know that due to Chinese objection, India is unable to build roads near border (Literally there was no roads, you have to drive on stony fields). So the question arises, are we really SOVEREIGN if we can't build roads in our territory due to external pressure ? And at the Chinese side they have 4-lane highways !

We are building roads from Kashmir to North Eastern end.
So there will be some patches where in next round will be covered.
China is 30 trillion economy and we are 5 trillion so it will take time.

Under the current govt road infra in ladakh has changed drastically . Its my personal experience .
Roads on China side and also roads on Pakistan side in POK is excellent. Tourist facilities nd local businesses are great. Indian Govt should take note of that and develop this side also like them.
