It looks like the base that attaches to the chair can be re-strapped to another chair, which I like the idea just in case I have switch or replace chairs.
Yep, definitely a nice feature so it's not permanent and can be changed to different chairs.
@RenderedReality Half-Life: Alyx mouse and keyboard play-testing leaked!!! Just added new video. Thought you might get a laugh out of it.

@@RenderedReality haha thank you man. Hope I made you smile a little =)
@@ElAssoWipo Haha you did!! 😁👍
basically that was helpful
LOL.... bro i thought the same thing.
Excellent video. Protube is in fire right now. I need me one of those bad boys.
Works great for flight games, definitely helps you feel that 1:1 connection.
This channel is severely under-rated!
Haha appreciate that!! We just have fun doing it, we love VR!!
Good info, basically thanks ;) !
If you basically remove all the basically, the video basically is half the length lol.
Haha I watched it after words and realized I said basically way too many times
@@annenouk5272 haha true statement!!
The website is deemed unsafe by google. Has anyone bought one without problems?
Yes I was a bit dubious but paid for a magtube stock from these guys on Wednesday and it came today so was very pleased, in fact I was so pleased I’m now looking at getting this protas for no mans sky and elite dangerous
Craig thanks!
Contacted company and they replaced it and delivered it within 3 days free of charge. Have used it for about a month and I have to say it is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone. The moral being do not post when you are upset.
Nice!!!
Nice one m8!
Thanks buddy!!!
Which you do you prefer: this or the Steelie?
That thing is pretty cool, might have to order one.
Works pretty good
Could you try to simplify this information for me to understand
I own a Magtube from Protube and to detach the controller from the base I recommend a forward+inward twist with your hand.
Thank you for this video! I have a Quest since end of last year but I will get a better PC for playing Steam games tomorrow and I TOTALLY need No Mans Sky and such a ProTas! But with shipping it's over 50€ for me! :O x_x
Rob_odd r u using oculus link?
@@georgebedford Yes I do.
Rob_odd have u played no mans sky with link? What’s it like? Can you say your pc specs please? I am considering buying a quest or to wait and see if oculus connect announces the oculus del mar. Thanks
@@georgebedford
Yes, I do play it with link. (I played around 25 hours so far)
I love it! At first I wanted to play it standing and seated, but due to the fact that I fly in my ship very often I now play the game only while sitting in my chair because it is annoying if you have to search for the chair every couple minutes when you are going to fly. Also if you play both standing and sitting, you have to recalibrate your view every time you change your position (from standing to sitting and vice versa) because the game does not recognise if you are standing or sitting.
And sitting in a chair, using a ProTas (I bought one^^) while flying in your ship is sooooo coool!
Rob_odd wow! Thanks for the long reply mate! I have a 1060 too, but only a i5 2400 so very old. I have been told it is not adequate for VR. I’m in an annoying situation here because i am in lockdown so I should buy a quest, but del mar may come out or be announced. I think I am going to wait. Is the screen door effect noticeable enough to be intrusive? And last question, how noticeable is it being 72hz? Do you find yourself wishing you had a higher refresh rate in-game? Thanks so much. P.S is there any noticeable latency with head movement (black bars) or controllers? With link I mean.
Does this allow for any rotation of the stick? I play Vtol VR and the rudder is activated by twisting the stick about it's axis.
It isn't really designed to twist, but it does have enough flex that you could twist it some. The magnetic all mount might work better for Vtol
Wouldn't be a NMS video without some mining. 😃👍
Haha figured I might as well grab some goods while I was in there!!
Thanks for making this video. I've been debating getting one of these. I got the protube cups for my index controllers but I am not zip tying and cutting that thing off my controller every time I want one play a game that uses it. I think the index cups are a terrible design.
Yeah I don't like the index cup design either. I much prefer the design of the touch controller cups, very easy to take on and off. I think the design of the Index controllers make this a little harder though. Not a fan of the zip tie method though for sure
agreed, hope they implement a more temporary design. Then I’d buy it.
@@groovvr You could use reusable zip ties / velcro zip ties.
But I agree with you, the design doesn't look good.
They need a left/throttle setup as well.
does this work with elite dangerous?
I havent played Elite Dangerous in a while but if I remember right ifs joy stick movement instead 9f tracked controller movement like Vtol or No Man's Sky, so I dont think this will work well for Elite Dangerous.
@@RenderedReality ok thanks for the quick response 😊
Does it have twist functionality for rudder control?!?!
Roger Smith i dont believe so
Magnets arent going to change. If you want to remove it easier you need to put something as a spacer over the magnet
That's a good thought, they are definitely pretty strong takes some effort to pull the controller off. My MAGTUBE gun stock magnets dont seem this strong.
try ti twist the controller instead of pull to remove from the stick.
I did try that, still doesn't come off very easy.
I still feel like something is off in no man sky virtual flight stick it just doesn’t feel as good as vtal or some other games that I have played I mean it works but it’s just not good for dogfights
Yeah I think the flight stick is more finely tuned in some other games for sure.
i think it's the flight model that's arcady
I would have called it MOTAS.
Basically
Haha so 10 months ago!! 🤣👍
Terrible product mine came today used for about 40 minutes and the rubber sheared off from the base leaving me holding a controller not attached to the base.
basically.
🤣🤣
This is a stolen design from the Ninja print on Etsy. They've been selling this for a while now.
The Ninja print is kind of a combination between this and the Steelie method. I like it though!!
@@RenderedReality Combination? They have stolen the base completely. So lame.
Drink everytime he says basically and see how far you get in before getting alcohol poison
Basically
Haha basically yes
