It's meant to be, it even has "starring blah blah blah" for all the characters in the intro and when you load back into the game it says "last time on hardline" and does a recap. I love it.

I remember when i first beat the game i kept on beating it in diffrent harder difficulties
I did the same thing. I played campaign a lot because I didn't like playing online, everybody had better weapons and were more experienced. After I beat it five times, I stopped playing but now that I have more skill in games like that, I want to go back to it and play online.

I knew I recognized the African-American character Boomer from movies like The Substitute, Perfect Harmony, and Sleepers. Mr Eugene Byrd. And the guy who played Tyson Latchford obviously was featured in LA Noire as the dirty vice cop, Adam Harrington.

I've noticed that Battlefield, like in Harline and BF4, likes to make the weather be bad. Notice how throughout a lot of both campaigns, there's always a lot of rain, wind, etc blowing around. I guess they always want to make it more dramatic.

Tbh I wouldn't mind a Battlefield set in drug wars. Like a multinational unit by Interpol vs the most notorious criminals aiming to destroy the civil world through drugs and counterfeit stuff.
Rumor has it that the next Call of Duty in the modern warfare series will be fighting drug cartels.
