I’m not taking anything away from Martin because he writes these great songs nor from Dave because his vocals are amazing but damn Alan is a musical genius and he leaving DM was the biggest loss in the history of music!
I miss Alan every time I listen to or watch Devotional as it’s so glaring how much better and more creative the live versions were back then. They’ve barely altered the live versions of most songs in the past 20 years.

Correct Alan was a great part of this band .but they persevered. I can only imagine what it be like. It was health reasons he had to go his own decision. I miss em he's great

I think it was left low since this is a backing track, you'd play live guitar over the backing - would be there as a guide and to help fatten up the sound live.

He doesn't remove vocals, he makes instrumental version using samples from Alan Wilder's collection, I think
@ Hahaha. He has the original stems from the Devotional tour and mutes the lead vocals. It's not feasible to have the backing vocals if it was a cover. Technology wasn't there to sample 5 mins of hi quality backing vocal into the Emax 2 which was used on that tour. Knowing is power. Drums were played live, unless he's Alan Wilder and has the same 200k dollar Drum kit.
@@Aurum1977 No he doesn't have the original stems.
He is using samples that he extracted which everyone can do if they have the right tools and know the methods.
The only original thing here is probably the I Feel You Backtrack, if he even used it.
I know what I'm talking about because I do the exact same thing. Not on the same level as Vlad does but yeah, I'm doing this kind of stuff too.
Also, the back vocals are really easy to be extracted. Just take the separate channels of the 5.1 mix, let an AI extract the vocal, pitch it down and done! You have it.
Drums are more complicated but it's possible too!

@@Aurum1977 I know, I have those too. But that doesn't change the fact that someone can also recreate stuff by using extracted samples.
For instance, I recreated A Question Of Time. I used Alan's samples and the rest was extracted by me with the help of someone else.
На 3-м куплете неправильно расставлен голосовой сэмпл Мартина: Дейв никогда не пел без пауз, а тут слишком часто повторяется "I feel you", так просто нереально пропеть, переслушай лайв!
И ещё, перед словами "My Kingdom comes" должно отчётливо звучать пианино, а тут оно если и есть, то теряется в общем потоке.
Бэк-вокал взят из демки?:) Ударные сочные, а вот гитара слабовато.
