Exactly. The work profile will usually be linked to your Google or Microsoft account and won't show as a user but an admin. And you can't remove the admin 0f the device

This guide did not work. What did work for me was going into the work profile menu (a top level menu in settings next to accounts on Samsung devices) and hitting the option to uninstall the work profile from there
