Who else saw Mrs. slocumbe smirk at the end? That was classic!!!!!! 🤣😂😅😆
😂 Mrs Slocombe was the best. She knew how to get Captain Peacock off his high horse. Such a great show. Nothing like a rainy cold Saturday afternoon watching Absolutely Fabulous, Are You Being Served and Keeping Up Appearances with a cup of coffee. They don’t make funny shows like this anymore. Thank God for YT lol
Rising Damp is brilliant too if you haven't watched it already, Reginald Perrin is a legend
Chris Dooley I totally agree with you.
@Chris Dooley Agreed on everything but one count. British comedy requires British tea (or a G&T)
Mrs brown?
And to think of the crap we have to watch these days
Just turn off the TV.
Truth.
Good grief, you really have the rose tinted specs stuck firmly on, don't you?
Love this show! Never get tired of seeing it.
Why shrink the picture at the best bit?
Its funny how Mrs Slocombe abruptly switches back and forth from a posh to a Brummie ? accent.
She spoke in a posh accent in front of customers but when no customers near her Northern accent came through. Molly Sugden was typecast into posh middle class ladies she played Mrs Hutchinson in Liver Birds and Nellie Harvey in Coronation Street
I laughed myself to death with this episode 😂
Loved them so much
It's Captain Peacock!
Adrian Edmundson is the double of Mr Rumbold 😮😂😂
Oh how I do miss those days!
Its so sad when the comedy highjackers have stopped all fun. Every body loved this in the 1970s, kids, parents, and grandads in a time where people were not afraid to laugh
Excuse me Britbox. It's Captain Peacock
two to the valley 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ironic comment, ‘women live longer than men’ Miss Brahams died quite young from cancer.
Peacock lived to around 90, even outlived Lucas
How on earth did they get that vulgar hand gesture past the censors? (The V gesture in the UK is like flipping the bird in the US.)
We're not the US. For a start, we don't faint at the sight of 5 seconds of Janet Jackson's tit.
😂🫵🤡
🤣🤣🤣🤣 shes awesome
Lol I remember watching this when I was younger
Brilliant comedy!!!
Especially what Mrs. Slocombe did to that mechanical glove display. 😆
Ah, the days when department stores were run by men like Mr Rumbold!
Captain Peacock would never tolerate being called Mr. Peacock.
What’s funny is that, Captain or Corporal, low ranking officers like him aren’t supposed to use their ranks in civilian life after retirement; only higher ranks, like colonels, are allowed that privilege.
@@magicaltour1 I think Lt Col and above can use the rank as of right, and Major (Retired) can be used but only with approval. But you're right. You cease to be a Captain when you leave the service.
1:07 the microphone.
Why is Columbo working at Grace Bros?
That's the wacky Mr. Mash.
I wonder how many takes they had to do during this scene.
To the unknowing American viewers, the reverse peace sign in the UK, is the equivalent of a middle finger salute in America.
Buy it on DVD
Captain Freecock, are you pee?
😂😂🤣
The line at 1:52 didn't age well, unfortunately.
why? it's scientifically accurate and still true, by a healty margin at that!

No, I meant the part about who's superior. Men being superior solely because of their gender is often questionable in 2023.
Still better than anything the Americans can come up with. I should know, I am an American!
Justin Solomon peacock
CAPTAIN Peacock, not Mr. Peacock.
Brilliant comedy!!!
