Florida has been fantastic overall defensively but McDavid is still absolutely as good as his usual self it’s just that he hasn’t been able to produce because of how ridiculously good Bob has been.

They are very good at keeping their set pace and the pressure on their opponents... You don't really see them flat, or easing up... I don't fault the Oilers Goalie either... If the Oilers want to claw back into this series, they might want to be physical throughout the game to force some opportunities --- not just retaliatory hits or out of frustration..
Only McDavid himself can shut down McDavid, no one else can do it on this planet. Florida knows that too. All they need is to try and LIMIT his chances so he has to try to make those long cross-ice passes wich Florida easily intercepts. Panthers defend so well the net front that so far, it has been suprisingly easy work. He will get some looks anyways because the skill level he has but then there is Bob who takes over. This series has so far shown the same fact that has been around that team for year after year - they live and die because of their power play.
