Thanks - I should have seen this before I ordered bifocals online - I didn't realize that I might have been able to request a lens with a wider reading field, which is what I thought would be sent to me. I will contact the company and see if they would be willing to do a deal (exchange), but do realize I should have done my homework before ordering.
Thank you for this video. I think bifocal is the way to go for me!
I'm a classroom teacher, and I really need to toggle between seeing my students seated at the back of the classroom and their written work regularly.
Hi Cath, to be honest bifocals are great. A lot of people think they are so much inferior but they are a great product that can really help, especially in situations like you have noted. Have you got your new Bifocals yet?
Thank you, quite informative.
I want bifocals without the lines. They are called blended bifocals. How do you get them?
Thank you for this informative video. However, I am still confused as to what to order for my husband. He is now in a nursing home and has had his eyes tested. The right eye sphere is +0.75, cylinder -2.00, axis 30 and Add +2.50. The left eye sphere is +0.25, cylinder -1.50, Axis 180 and Add +2.50. Long sightedness is ticked, Irregular curvature of the eye (astigmatism) is ticked, close work (presbyopia) is also ticked. I cannot afford to pay for new specs for him from the opticians and thought I would order some online but with all the options offered for bifocals, I am totally confused. My husband is in bed all the time and watches TV, doesn’t read much at all. I would be so very grateful for your help if you could advise me on what to order.
I just got progressives and for the life of me I cannot get used to them I freaking hate them I have arthritis in my neck therefore I cannot turn to see traffic for instance when I'm pulling out everything is blurry oh, I'm having such a hard time with these I'm actually thinking of going back to my eye doctor and getting bifocals but I really don't want that dumb line oh, I'm thinking maybe my progressives need adjusted cuz they did them wrong I just cannot see to read they are horrible, I think bifocals would be so much easier but I don't know I really only need my long-distance at a very mild prescription I don't really have super bad eyes only when I read
Hey bruv, I want you to show the process of fix a bifocal lenses. I mean from scratch please
Hi, thanks for your question and for watching. Do you mean making the lenses into frames etc? Many thanks, Colin
@@precisionopticseyewear yes, fixing it into a frame from the scratch, that's starting with the PD and the Segment height.
Really interested as to how the lenses are made. Can you enlighten me?
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. Do you mean how they are made from the very beginning or how we make them for the frames?
I hated my bifocals in the end I started loving them but I then noticed computer screens and the receipts at work were blurry I needed trifocals by the time I went back to the opticians I decided on progressives I'll never be happy with bifocals again I love my progressives I can see all my stuff that is at arms length
im the opposite ,because im a driver and the way i must keep my head as im driving i simply cannot drive in progressives as i always seem to be looking through the intermediate area ,for general use they are great though
You are wrong. Prismatic effect makes circular segments more suitable for hyperopes and D segments more suitable for myopes.
Have you worn bifocals before? Are you thinking about trying them for the first time? Let me know in the comments below and I'll get back to you 🤓 Thanks for watching! Colin
