Thanks Mr Hackett for all the wonderful music, you've made millions of people's lives better. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.
I adore this artist. Far underrated. Genius.😊
Foxtrot and wind and wuthering my 2 favorite album's
One of the great contemporary musicians, composers and soloists. Thanks for your music, Steve, it makes the world a better place. Don't drink so much!
Une pure merveille...
If anyone could Hackett after all these years it would be Steve - Been with you since '72 ...Thanks Steve!
Greetings from California. I consider Horizons my first (and only) classical tune I've learned to play. It's my first song to play when I am trying out nylon string and steel string guitars at music stores. Many thanks, Steve. By the way, I can't stand it when I am watching a 70's Genesis performance on europe TV or concert footage, and Steve is about to play some cool lead riffs, ..and the camera man is showing Peter or Phil or something! By the time he pans back to Steve, the solo part is near over. I appreciate these clips of Steve at home giving us unblocked performances of the chords so that i can (try) to play his songs. Thanks again, Steve. Cheers!
Still one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard, after all these years! Beyond genius. Thanks for everything Steve. You are more valuable to us than you will ever know...
Wow... I have always loved it!
Steve, this is one of my favourite tracks of yours. I've always loved it. A lockdown lullaby, thank you!
Out shopping for my 1st guitar the clerk asked " what kind of music do you want to play?". This piece was on my mind but I had no idea how to describe "Horizons" to the kid. That was over 30 years ago. Thanks so much for the music and the inspiration!
Thanks Steve. We never get tired of hearing you play that. Simply amazing.
the only guitarist who can make me cry... so much emotions...
i love you mr. hackett so much...
god bless you and your family with good health, amen.
simply marvelous...a masterpiece ... a still have goose bumps listening to this..
One of my absolute favorite songs! Learned this song in my teens and still trying to perfect it in my late 50's 😏
I listening this song almost every day so beautiful. Its funny how this song is so short and the next song in the album is the longest.
It's such a good little intermezzo before Supper's Ready, I really can't listen to this without starting to sing the next bit in my head. "Walking across the sitting room, I turned the television off, ..."
Huh, it took me some hint by you to realize that the beginning is inspired by the first movement of JS Bach's first cello suite. Magnificent. And hearing you playing classical guitar is really a huge pleasure. I love your sound and style, so soft, warm and deep.
I'ts that instrument too, but he could get an even heavier sound if he play closer to the bridge!
@@Lagger-HD : I love Steve's sound, not need for it to be heavier - at least in mu humble opinion... Heavy is a strange adjective in the case of a classical guitar by the way... :o))
@@Marctull66 it's a joke I was meaning bowel movements or as we say in NZ shitting
Gorgeous work. Thanks.
Beautiful, this piece made me decide to learn to play a nylon strung acoustic guitar after 3 years of playing with an electric guitar badly,I've never looked back so thank you Mr Hackett.
That’s beautiful. Such a connection between the past and the present moment, right here
Thak you Mr Hackett! I learned this beautiful song many years ago and I play it regularly, now I can adjust some small mistakes.
I've come back here after three years. I'm glad this video hasn't gone so I could finally fix my execution and I feel good! The more listened bit is from 0:30 to 0:45, not surprisingly.
This and Sketches in the Sun by Steve Howe are my most played acoustic pieces. Perfect.
Im sorry, but that song is horizons. The othre you mention was part of GTR producción, where this mythic guitarrists play together.
As a matter of fact, this song is increíble. But Sketches on the sun is overhuman.
@@yzcandar2896 Yes, I know it's Horizons. Steve Howe is credited with Sketches in the Sun. It's on the Motif Vol.1 album. He wrote it and played it. I think it may also be on the Not Necessarily Acoustic album. I don't understand your comment.
@@dvaidr sorry, was my fault. I read it too fast. Your comment is just fine.
You are the king, many thanks for your wonderfull music !

Thank you Mr. Hackett. A wonderful piece of music!
Great Steve, it sounds like something from Genesis😉
Awesome , looking forward to more revisited gigs, Foxtrot was amazing,
I love this song but it does remind me of my childhood; Trumpton or Camberwick Green I think...
Beautiful !!!
Calmas mi ansiedad con tan bella musica...
It's so beautiful seeing you play this gem, I used to play Horizons in another lifetime.
I love so much this great performance.
Life imitates art.
I'll bet every one of those fixtures on that mantle behind you has a very distinct and interesting story of it's origin....!!?
should be in in every Classical guitar song book right between 'Air on the G String' and 'Bouree in E Minor' by Bach. Every classical guitar student will be learning Horizons for the next 400 years.
Wonderful...!❤❤❤
que cancion tan espectacular... la melodia de las armonicas al principio son uno de mis momentos favoritos de genesis
Thanks Steve, that one was the first I learnt on 1975, but today I realize that I played wrong some passages
Bravo! Fantastic stuff Steve.

Ok...So I just NOW discovered you have a public UA-cam channel. Joyfully subscribed. But I wonder who else I'm missing?
ua-cam.com/video/UCgExb97LmQ/v-deo.html no son of mine with the 3 guitarists Of Genesis !
ua-cam.com/video/b0Mcuumjo9Q/v-deo.html no son of mine with the 3 guitarists! 2d version
ua-cam.com/video/FjhO_zfFg0Q/v-deo.html your style in "on the shoreline" :)
ua-cam.com/video/lOIH6D8T7Sk/v-deo.html you liked invisible touch prog rock :)
Always loved that piece of music. Is it available on sheet music? Not tabs just real sheet music for guitar is what I'd really like to see. Thank you!
@@legolam4271 Both versions? I found two on that site. One was useless for me as it was 100% tablature. The other at least had a genuine music score but without guitar notation for barre or 8ve and the like. For each stanza there was a corresponding tablature below it. That is at least acceptable without having the proper guitar score.
foxtrot album
Thumbs down?? SERIOUSLY!!
I played this as part of my grade 6 guitar !! Hope that's ok ….:)
Yes steve, but can you play three blind mice.
i want a classical guitar too :)
but my 12 strings guitar sounds great too :) check it out!
I wonder how jealous Mike Rutherford was of Mr. Hackett?
I love this piece but here Steve is not at his best.
Horizons ....
..."Walking across the Siting Room..."
I turn the television ooof
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS it follows to this song in Foxtrot. It seems it is the same song!
