Dress to impress was a good game. And lana was broke so she had to work to dress to impress gigi exepted that she can be a worker there. And then she never payed lana. Lana had diary that had "i hate my job " and then suddenly there was "i love my job i love my job i love my job" so yeah i dont know the rest of the lana lore
Here I will add some lore I know but I don’t know all the lore so Lana was replaced with a doppelgänger and when she was replaced she left her note book and it said she was replaced and that you need to find her also there is a portal behind the circle sign in the “intermission,”room or something in her book if you search the player ID if you pick the right game you should walk down a path and then get 4 other people so you can teleport to the maze try to make it to the end before the doppelgänger gets you and idk the rest of the lore
Theory!! In free to play, if you break out of the lobby (I think that's what it's called) and surpass the barrier there is a photo of lana and the "thing" that replaced her. It is a creature made out of flesh that recreated lana. Now we get to the theory. When that "thing" (lets call it debra) replaced lana and she couldnt do anything about it and debra replaced lana after "they" found out that she hated her job. That creature in the other game was the other debra (theres proly multiple of them) and killed you because if you went to far, you would either find the truth of dti or thats where lana is. Edit: GUYS I WATCHED A VIDEO I AM WRONG. She has a diary that stats that she is gone and the "nail lady" is not her. She talks about how this "nail lady" is her doppelganger and could possibly be the reason that people are going missing. My theory is that she is trying to seem as a nice person when explaining this to us, but she is much worse. The creatures are her. Every creature we has seen is her. She can shape shift. And she's covering up her kills by saying that "nail lady" did it all. And she is planing to end it all.
If you wanna know about Lana law, I’m gonna be telling you guys (so basically when Lana was a baby, she was diagnosed with a medical condition that made her have no hair if you go into just to impress and you look where Lana is doing the nails you can see the pictures behind her. She has no hair, but she probably got her hair back because you can see a picture with her long hair and balloons. so one day Lana was approached by someone their name was Gigi and this person offered to pay off Lana’s hospital debt so she worked as the nail tech and dress to impress but soon she found out that she was just getting manipulated and never paid off the debt but there’s this other person Moto princess so just keep Moto princess in mind anyways back to the story so basically Gigi was evil and wanted to do experiments on the players (us) and princess knew about that so she wanted to take Lana somewhere safe so she could tell Lana before Moto princess could tell her Gigi went and killed Moto princess but before all of this, Lana was told to go wait in the shed but guys keep this in mind before Moto princess got killed(she went missing and if you go to where Lana is, you can see missing posters and you can see one has Moto princess on the bottom of it, but Lana is still in that shed and she is scared and lost and if you go into the forest game, you can probably find her in the shed some say Lana is dead but we don’t know that so Lana when she went missing she had doppelgängers made and now they’re everywhere if you look up to where that table is, you can see her diary and it says “ I hate my job. I hate my job. I hate my job. I don’t know where I am. I am scared that girl sitting in my desk is not me. She is not the real Lana I am. I don’t know where I am. I hate my job and I am being forced” And another part of the map is where you can see that there is a book that says I love my job over and over again. It seems like she is being forced to write that…. The Lana lore is very dark…. And Lana has a UA-cam channel if you search up on here, Lanadoesnails there is some more clues if you wanted to know about Lana lord this is probably the most information I know this took me a very long time to write so please like this comment
There also are hidden rooms, one where after the game there is a DTI thing climbing up onto the plants and there's Lana's ritual, and one where men clothing is
Fun fact: the eye you see on the monster is the Lana's eye and the monster ate some of her parts of her body ^^ edit: jeez bro it's been 4 days and I have 457!!! 😰😰
Theres also a dress in the salon/hair room near Lana, on her Left, its a short dress and you can unlock it by going to one of her games "Forest." After you manage to go away from the Lana's/dopplegangers You go on this white circle, you wait a couple of minutes then a portal appears, make sure You're screen light is all the way up so you can see the circle things, you step on those then you will be teleported to another one of her games that's not there on he profile named "Maze" This maze is filled with Lana's and you hide in Bushes if Lana's are nearby to hide from them, follow the paintings of Lana's to lead to a stairway, then after You're done theres a cutscene, then after it, you will be teleported back to dti and get a reward of 15000/1500 Bucks and the dress.
I think I got it for free..bc when I done it with my friend she was the only one that completed it out of both of us!!Although I was literally where the portal was I couldn’t make it bc I died but idk🤷♀️
For me the fact that Dress To Impress, is so cute, but has dark lore, reminds me of DDLC. (Doki Doki Literature Club!) Which is all cutesy, but it gets more dark the more you play. It just reminds me of that.
Update: Lana's new diary entry is just 'I love my job.' over and over again. It's kinda like Sayori's poem which is just 'Get out my head.' over and over again. If I remember correctly, I think you get that poem the day of the festival before you see Sayori dead, I don't know, it's been a year since I got to that point.

I thinking that Agamemnon and the evil Lana (the one we have rn) were evil scientists at some point at least Agamemnon was and they experimented on Lana creating her into a monster to kill people. If u go to the shelf now u can drop through and see messages like “where is she? Her name is like mine but she’s so different” and there’s scythes, and Lana is in a cage! It explains why the nails stand was out of order.. Also that paper of her ID of profile is still there!
Without the music, You'll hear a clock ticking for as long as you play through. If you go farther and reach the end. The ticking stops and you'll get jumpscared.
Maybe that was the plan this whole time, to make this seem like a fun dress up game, but now that it finally has a massive amount of players and popularity, it can finally be what it was meant to be, terrifying.

(What I think the lore is: if you go towards the men’s clothing and walk into the shelves closest to the men’s model, there’s a meat room. If you glitch out of the boundaries to usually get to VIP and hop onto a different thing of grass, you can see a portrait of Lana next to the meat monster. I’m assuming that from the book above the nail lady that says “I don’t feel the plague” and “I love my job” over and over again, there’s a plague coming from the weird nail stuff Lana uses and it causes her and us to hallucinate that monster and the other Lanas.)

Everything was going well ;until a presence was felt standing behind her, [ You can see what it is when you go into the lobby and go outside, then go right on the sides of the map and see a image of something,. Horrifying- Here I forgot what happened, but Lana is not possessed by whatever that was, or shes a doppelgänger. Theres also missing posters at her salon of different users, her face behind her chair, a lana head in a float on the runway, multiple lanas outside in the round map. And uh… I recommend just watching lore videos.
