There was no time limit in this heat. You were able to run if you could get yourself unstuck if you kept trying given that you had your foot in that car prior to getting stuck.
We used to have 80 to 100 cars in Austin back in the day . 80% Mopar . Lowell Evans , Art & Gilles Cane . Doug Pickner out of Owatonna . plus many other really good drivers . best derby's in those days . Owatonna had a hard hitting derby too seen a 64 Imperial full track hit a chevy wagon and ripped the ass end right off the chevy DONE 1 Hit .
Wow those officials suck, I would never run there. That guy was hurt and they didn’t give a shit. He had to get out himself just to get them to stop it. But I do like how good of show the drivers put on and the camera work is good u caught all the big hits, so thumbs up to u for the video.
Old boy got half tracked by a full framer and couldn't take it. Never understood why you guys in the Midwest/East run stock seatbelt setups. Have badass motors and gear and run stock seatbelts... makes sense.......

Well on the full frames the frame gives under the body right at the passenger doors usually so they go after that spot to get the frame weakened
