  • This is my live comparison on these 2 helmets. I did not look at them both closely before the video. Everything you hear and see is me noticing the differences for the first time. The helmets being compared are 2020 Hasbro black series Boba Fett helmet and the other helmet is the Hasbro electronic helmet from 2010 or 2011. Sorry again for the bad quality and lighting. This is just me doing everything quickly. 1 due to lack of effort and 2 so I can hurry up and eat some chicken wings

I have the older one on the right and up until now I never realized that the visor is so thick and makes it look stupid. The one on the left which is the newer one they send it up a little bit it makes it look like a real Boba Fett visor. What do you think?

Come on really! A kids toy helmet verses a nice collectible black series. Why bother.

I am a Star Wars fan and have owned the one on the right but my only question is if you were drunk while making this compassion?

I’m my opinion the older helmet looks like a retro cartoon version idk but the black series is the way to go for display

7:32 - the dry sarcasm is _perfection._ For a role playing kids helmet, it's not bad, except for that visor. I just laughed my ass off when I saw it a handful of years ago in Walmart. I thought it was from a cartoon or Disney Infinity, but nah. I don't think the visor (especially the horizontal part) was made *gigantic* simply for "safety" reasons.
I'm sure it had to do with Disney not wanting Hasbro to make one for retail that looks remotely similar to a replica. I'm sure they planned on making one quite a while back, once the Black Series helmets started coming. Disney just didn't want to license out something Fett related like that. Then The Mandalorian became a huge hit......and yeah, they changed their mind real quick lol. License holders make very strange decisions.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I prefer the one on the right. The over-the-top cartoonish t-visor is just a bit more accurate. And the lack of detailing is spot on. Plus the tube shape is more movie accurate.
lol - I just found this comparison so hilarious. It's like comparing the Hot Toys 1/6 ESB Fett with the 90's Kenner 12" Fett. The only Fett helmet I ever got was the Don Post '96 recast...so good god, this is a dream come true. A $500+ looking helmet for under $130. So yeah, definitely a (super inexpensive) grail piece for me.

9:47 - there's no decals on it. It's all painted, but very fuzzy...especially the kill stripes. And they're not the right colours. They're supposed to be a yellow, that fades into an orange; but they're very diluted.
I don't know man, I own both of these, and the Boba Fett helmet feels like a much better value/higher quality. The 20% higher cost is negligible to me. The upcoming prototype version is $99.99. So the attention to detail with trying to get the dozens upon dozens of marks as accurate as possible with the ESB version definitely affects production cost.
