About me…. I’m normally hitting the parks or the beach with one of the many detectors I use for metal detecting the beach and fields. Metal Detecting can be fun and at the same time a nightmare due to the way the beach is always shifting, but if you hit it on a good day... BOOM! could be GOLD could be SILVER! Incredible. You can use these videos as a kind of online education but they’re really not! Oh and make sure you’re detecting is legal.

Metal Detecting is a good way of chilling out, its a good bit of therapy, fresh air, long walks. Its also a bit like those unboxing videos you see on youtube because even though you have an idea of what's buried below your feel you're never really sure. I've been Detecting with Deep Digger Dan during his digging the coast 365, that was fun. I used his XP Deus... Very light. I started out using the Garrett Ace 250 and then added a Nel Tornado coil. After that I started using a Nokta Makro Kruzer and some how managed to find so much more on land I thought had been detected to death. Silver coins, WWII badges and bullets and down the beach I've even found GOLD and Silver Rings. In one of my videos I've finally found a Roman Coin and A Saxon Strap End. Real beach detecting, we all have those days. I’ve come away with less than 90p but still enjoyed myself.
Those blocks where put there to stop invasion and that beach was used as practice for the D day landings, operation overlord.
The lock cover is called a escutcheon I believe
I like the failed hunt videos mixed in every now and then, it reassures me that I'm not doing something wrong when my beach is a full day of trash
Cracking video, this is true metal detecting.
Not glorifying the hobby and just the one side of detecting where being out pays off, Not every hunt does, it's like fishing, some days you just come up short but great being out in the fresh air enjoying the scenery 😊
I am guessing that the flat thing that you said might be a bell, is the faceplate that goes with the MASSIVE KNOB😀
Yep... the beach is quite rubbish here too... but, we had a bit on an onshore junior storm here today... so, here's to hoping for a bit of action!

Unlucky, thanks for the video, bad day made worse with your cold, but salt/sea air will be better for you than laying on your back staring at the cobweb's on the ceiling. Cheers Ian in the scottish borders

@Wheresthesilver thats what i thought but after my mrs caught it she used a covid test and it was positive ...twice once on a original test kit and again on a new one.I was surprised i wasnt gasping for breath on deaths door (being 70) but omicron seems far less lethal.Sore throat lasted a few days but still had cough and feel lousy still after 6 days
