Here's a simple guide to making Gulab Jamun using an MTR instant mix pack:
    Ingredients:
    MTR Instant Gulab Jamun mix
Water or milk (as per package instructions)
    Oil or ghee for frying
    Sugar
    Water
    Cardamom pods (optional)
    Rose water or saffron (optional)
    Instructions:
    Preparing the Dough:
Mix the Dough: Empty the MTR Gulab Jamun mix into a bowl. Gradually add water or milk as per the instructions on the pack. Mix well to form a smooth, soft dough. Let it rest for a few minutes.
    Shaping the Balls:
Shape the Balls: Grease your palms with a little oil or ghee. Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into smooth, round balls. Ensure there are no cracks on the surface.
    Preparing the Sugar Syrup:
Make the Syrup: In a separate pan, add sugar and water in a 2:1 ratio (e.g., 2 cups of sugar to 1 cup of water). Bring it to a boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar completely. You can add a few crushed cardamom pods and a few drops of rose water or a few strands of saffron for extra flavor. Once the syrup reaches a slightly sticky consistency, reduce the heat and keep it warm.
    Frying the Gulab Jamun:
Heat the Oil: Heat oil or ghee in a deep frying pan over medium heat. To test if the oil is ready, drop a small piece of dough into it. If it rises to the surface steadily without browning too quickly, the oil is ready.
Fry the Balls: Gently slide a few dough balls into the hot oil. Fry them on low to medium heat, stirring gently, until they turn golden brown on all sides. This ensures they cook evenly inside.
    Soaking in Syrup:
Soak the Balls: Once the balls are golden brown, remove them from the oil and drain excess oil using paper towels. Immediately transfer them into the warm sugar syrup. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes to an hour so they absorb the syrup and become soft and juicy.
    Serving:
Serve: Gulab Jamun can be served warm or at room temperature. Garnish with chopped nuts if desired.
    Enjoy your homemade Gulab Jamun!
