At least it has 220 mm "weakspot" that is larger than 3 pixels. But again, if you mange to hide it, then you can block an entire flank. Can't see how adding such a tank will improve the player experience & overall health of the game.

Well we do say that for a good 5 years now and yet here we are. The game is still being played. Ofc the veterans and whales are heavily invested and will keep the game alive. Its not the best game out there. The balance is WAAAY off. I did leave the game shortly after the 703II released. And yet ppl still keep playing.
That is exactly why I left the game. They keep adding tanks with no frontal weak spots that can just hold whole flank. If you want to penetrate them, AP shells are useless, so difference between players is who spam more gold. Years ago you needed to use knowledge about tanks to penetrate weak spots and push trough, now any noob can grab idiot proof tank and do the job.
I've just made it to their tier 9 in the polish TDs, guess I'll have a crew trainer for them now. I disagree with the assessment that the tanks are boring, and are in fact quite the opposite for me. I find them to be incredibly dynamic and much more interesting to play than your usual heavies where you just sit on a corner, sidescrape, and fling gold at the other team's weakpoints until eventually someone wins out. I really enjoy playing both the tier 8 and tier 9 on the medium tank flanks of most maps, and you can have a huge impact on the match. My average damage in the Kilana was something like 3200, and took my account damage record away from my STRV 103B with a 9800 damage and 9 kill game vs tier 10s. The carry potential is insane for a TD
Important note, up to 230m, the Grom will do more damage than the Kilana (both 560 damage at 230m), it's only beyond this range that the Kilana will do more. That's quite a long range. So unless you really snipe, the Grom will always have higher alpha. And if you really want to snipe at long range in the Grom, you might as well use HE on most targets. Formulas to compute the damage (except below 50m): Grom: Damage = (-Distance+50)*(600/450) + 800 Kilana: Damage = (-Distance+50)*(350/450) + 700

Reminds me of the old SU-122-44 - decent mobility, strong but unreliable frontal armor, and a big boom gun that can threaten anything at same tier and below. QB calls it "boring" but for people not used to flexing across the battlefield, I think Grom will do fine.

Back in the day Tiger II, Centurion mk 1, Ferdinand were the best tanks to play nowadays is BZ-176, Skoda T-56, Bourrasque and Progetto 46 in every match what's the point having stock tech tree tanks anyway (On the bright side at least my O-HO doesn't even have is own premium counterpart which I'm glad)

Don’t know why QB recommends the concealment skill for every tank and every crew member, especially this tank when the point is to get into close quarters.
I have enjoyed the polish TDs. With many TDs you can just sit far from the action and snipe but with these tanks you have to get on the enemys face and make feel the dmg. Oh and that 1,2k HE was brutal from a tier VIII tank.
I think lots of players are going to struggle with this tank because they aren't going to get into the fight to see the real damage, and others who get stuck in won't hide the midplate well enough.
To me...the real competition to this tank is the WZ-120-1G FT, just on the basis of its mobility; I'll take on damaged BZ-176s in that machine. Still intend to grind for this machine; one can't have too many premium TDs!

I wonder if the highest damage is always counted by the shell tuning perk, for example if the minimum damage is 200 does that mean it's gonna increase by 8 just like it does with the maximum damage?
The prem Italian tier VIII autoloader td has +300mm effective upper frontal armor. And it has a turret. Better in every regard compared to what I saw in this demo imo. I think it a minor disaster that these Polish assault tds don't have the frontal armor to be played as assault tds.
I think it's intentional. The last thing WG wanted to do was create an even better 268 version 4 after they had to nerf that tank like 3 separate times over the years.

I wonder how hard the marathon will be, people usually keep saying that it takes long to complete marathons but I've personally completed some of them (like obsidian marathon) extramely fast (obsidian literally took me under 48h real time which was like 20h of gameplay max)
Historically speaking, Events (such as the obsidian) are orders of magnitude easier than mission marathons (like this one). If it's similar to the last mission marathon (AltProto), unless you're a unicum-level player, plan on spending 40+ hours of game time to get it free.

Seriously, ratio of Alt+F4 session endings for those "poor tank commanders" will be even higher that it already is. Every time I am forced to compete with BZ-BS on Mines in Lowe.. I can simply do some house chores - that is way more fun that the game. I'd like to thank WG for that.
I miss tanks like AE PHase 1. It was a reward tank that had a gimmick of 4 tracks. Which is funny and cool. Rampanzer also has a shovel. 10/10 would shovel again. This is just another game destroying tank that you pay (or lose life) to win. So irritating. Tech tree tanks being OP is fine because you can rebalance without massive outcry, because they weren't paid for. SO spend less time balancing tech tree tanks, as can change later if need, and more time making premiums balanced. Premiums should be underpowered and then buffed if needed, because that wouldn't cause an outcry people would be like o my purchase just got boosted.
To be honest, despite the Kilana beeing the best T8 TD on paper i can't get it to work at all. I am a 62% win rate player, but this tank just breaks me. I feel like i want to get this tank up close and fight heavy tanks, but you just die there *way* too quickly, without achieving much because your aweful gun handling + narrow gun arc mean your snap shots won't hit and you get obliterated when trying to aim your shots. You can't realy wiggle and hope your tracks eat the shots either, because this tanks side armor is absolutly trash and your hit box of the lower hull sides is so far inwards, that the angle becomes bad *very* quickly. Sure, hulldown the armor is decent, but there aren't that many positions where you can get close to the enemy and hulldown using your medioker 7° gun depression, and if you don't use the gun depression the armor doesn't work...
So I’m 61% and kilana is my best performing tier 8 tech tree tank- I’ve found it works best if you push medium flanks and can find more squishy targets so you don’t have to stop and aim. Granted I play in platoons and it’s much easier to get pushes going in duos and trios

Polish tds are stupid, u feel its powerful and trash at the same time. You feel that u cant do anything and be farmed like some hp donator, but for some stupid reason u get shittons of dmg by just existing at close range even if u go to place where u know you'll lose, this poop will simply do work by itself despite difficulty. Its hard, but tank makes u feel that its easy at the same time - just let it cook even in places where all hope is lost just to dump all dmg in close range and die. These tanks are pure kamikadze
Hey quicky, can you suggest good begginer tank lines that are fun. Most streamers and youtubers suggest Is4 line but its line is sloww and boring. by fun i mean fast, well armoured ,penetration and good damage per shot.
You can’t be fast, armoured and have good penetration. You can choose two out of the three. Being in a fast tank as a new player will get you killed sooner.
Games a joke at the moment, 3-0 in the first 2 minutes, sometimes best to YOLO out of that game and go to next one, I don't care about my win rate I play my own game called make credits, I only play t8 premiums and if I make 1 credit after the game I feel I've won, I'm a happy tanker win or lose...

And proactive decisions pay too. Anyway...
I'm a new player, playing f2p for now, but I don't have any tier 9s or 10s, so... I'm looking at farming 261k base xp on my tier 6s and 7s if I want to get the Grom for free. Yikes, not sure if there's enough hours in the day
I am so tired of how WG does not give a f* about polish tank names. This is not "Kilana" but Kilan's tank... The engineer name Kilan created the project, so it has his name in the ID. This is like "Lewandowskiego" which should be pronounced "Lewandowski's" tank. I know this is nothing for 90% of you, but we'll ;)
i think it's a balanced tank nothing special except that 800 dmg at 50m ... kilana is faraway better TD. if Q.B can do 2.5 k dmg to 4k dmg with this tank ... so average players will do arround 1 k dmg to 2.5 k dmg most of the time in average...it's not easy to make it work.... that's my opinion

T.L.D.R. below ;) :) I have never done a marathon as I'm still a pup in account age and they've just now done a marathon within my tenure, that being said, I'm going to do it for the marathon experience as I like the different challenges and stages they post up for players to do....I however don't know what to expect as I've , as previously stated, never done this before. Well the caernarvon is still one of the best tier 8 heavies in the game. For tier 8 tournaments it is actually THE best heavy to bring.

There is a problem with this game my tank and my two friends tanks are on fire at the start of the game and we can’t fire????
I am so tired of how WG does not give a f* about polish tank names. This is not "Kilana" but Kilan's tank... The engineer name Kilan created the project, so it has his name in the ID. This is like "Lewandowskiego" which should be pronounced "Lewandowski's" tank. I know this is nothing for 90% of you, but we'll ;)

They didnt learn from the BZ and some more OP tanks? I can better sell all my standard tanks ar tier 8 right away, not a chance anymore

i think it's a balanced tank nothing special except that 800 dmg at 50m ... kilana is faraway better TD. if Q.B can do 2.5 k dmg to 4k dmg with this tank ... so average players will do arround 1 k dmg to 2.5 k dmg most of the time in average...it's not easy to make it work.... that's my opinion

I have never done a marathon as I'm still a pup in account age and they've just now done a marathon within my tenure, that being said, I'm going to do it for the marathon experience as I like the different challenges and stages they post up for players to do....I however don't know what to expect as I've , as previously stated, never done this before. I don't care if I get the Grom or not as I'm not doing the marathon for that reason....that novel having been upchucked, my question as a newbie is this....Are marathons a fun experience regardless of the reward or should I not bother as I don't care about this marathons reward, would it be a waste of time?

It will see T9 and T10 tanks at least 80% of the time. Be aware of that before getting it. QB showed too many T8 battles in this video.
