This game looks like next gen "Kart Racer" on PlayStation 2.

Seems like they used the same engine as IndyCar Series '03 and '05. This woud be explain the fact the Go-Karts in the game sounds like formula cars.

That's the truth. Brain in the Jar used this engine to make few budget games, that's how for example Noble Racing, Euro Rally Champion and Golden Age of Racing were made
