I've worn yaki texture for years, and have been frustrated with the fact that the texture, while natural-looking, does not hold a curl. Through trial and error, I've found that this works best for me: wet the unit + comb through AFRICAN PRIDE Moisture Miracle Rose Water & Argan Oil Curl Mousse + curl with SPONGE rollers, and let air-dry. I thought wetting the ends and curling with the sponge rollers worked best, but I'm am glad I "discovered" AFRICAN PRIDE Moisture Curl Mousse.

OMG! Try using Sebastian hair spray before heat curling. Also keep the flexi rods in over night and use lotta body foam

You have set it with lotion. That’s the only way it will stay. I have the same issue. It’s annoying

I've had Lavy hair and tinashe hair kinky straight and the curls NEVER hold 😭
