This was an easy one to make and it took me a day. I used about 1.5 metres or yards of fabric for the leggings. You can change the height of the waistline by measuring from your preferred waist point vertically to your hip ( and crotch depth too). Let me know if you recreate this and tag me online @kimdavedesigns ^.^
Hi Kim thanks so much for the vidoes they are all easy to understand and follow . I have a question can I use a cotton fabric to make something that clings to the skin like this?
Such pretty fabric. I’m pretty bottom heavy, but small waisted, and I get stuck between store bought sizes, so this seems optimal. Also, gorgeous fabric, thanks very much!
Hey pricillia absolutely love your work you have taught me so much. I'd like to request if you can do a tutorial on a sweat suite top and bottom with the hoodie. Being winter and all that would be so good for us. ❤️❤️
You are an angel on my sister, thank you so much. I once made mine but I used the exact strategies I use to cut the pants. This is so simple. Soon I will make for ne and my girls 💕
Hello there priscillia. Thank you for uploading this video plus a few others. Could you post a video showing us how to clone our clothes. Tracing patterns from existing ready-to-wear clothing? Also could you show us how we can make a puffer jacket with a faux fur hood and also a blazer like a Balmain blazer? Also could you show us how we can copy and design a biker jacket along with how to make a faux fur coat? Finally could you show us how to make a roll neck top? Priscillia. Carry on the great work and keep the great videos coming. Again thank you for you do. Regards Pure.
This was great! The fabric was fantastic and they looked great on you. I am apple shape, so what comes to mind about measuring I need to watch out for? I really like the high waist as that style looks better on me than at my natural waist. Thank you so much!
Priscilla you did again as usual, this is wicked, just a idea, could u let us know the amt of fabric in yard or inches please thanks am with ur channel so long and I never regret it, may not like everything but most of the time u never disappoint
Where can I message you? Cause if its okay for you tho. Im having trouble with making pleated/ knife pleats circle skirt. Cause we or i dont have any pleating board.
The crotch depth measurement using the waist to chair does not work for me. I am 95-101 lbs, very petite and for the life of me , I couldn’t figure out why. So I use the aluminum foil method and bingo! I found out from this method that it’s all in the butt, when I’m told I don’t have one, and my pubic bone protrudes some. Who knew!
Wow thank you so much for sharing this. It’s amazing how we are all so uniquely shaped. Can you share more details about the aluminium foil method please? It might be helpful for someone
@@KimDave To use the foil, use a lot of foil, many feet, and roll it up tightly until it is all tight. Then form it to your crotch curve, from front waist to back waist. I found that adding a lot of pipe cleaners inside the foil helped it keep its shape better. Make sure to mark the front and back. Then use the form to shape your crotch curve of the front and back on the pattern.

When you took away the excess , did you just put them through the machine to cut off more of that seam?

Hi Kim
Is your fabric 4 way stretch? Great video as usual . Thanks
Yes it is. Please See store link in video description
@@KimDave thank you for being kind enough to reply

I've saved for later, I've been wondering about making leggings, I made joggers and live in them.
hi Kim
can you do a knot dress again...The one going downward and upwards loop....
what type of thread should I use for stretch materials?
😆 You should’ve worn your catch phrase sweatshirt with these leggings. Would’ve been so cute together! 👌🏾☺️
OMG yes, especially the red one 😃😂
Thank you for the outfit styling tip 😘
I didn’t see seam allowance on the back pattern, after I do the back pattern should I add the allowance?
Looking good madam.
I love this video and that turtleneck dress! How would one make a control panel for the belly in these?
Thank you babe
I’m not 100% sure how to make a control panel 🤔 but maybe making a wide waistband could work?
You’re too good
Beautiful 👌
Thank you ☺️
I'm using cotton jersey and no elastic. Should I use less negative ease?
If the fabric is stretchy enough you can add negative ease, else you might need to add a zip on the side or back of the leggings
Hi Kim
Ah bathsuit wld b great or even ah spandex bodysuit.
Love ur videos
Is there possibly a printable free pattern
to go along with this??
I don't have on yet on the store. Wasn't sure is people wanted it.
Priscilla you did again as usual, this is wicked, just a idea, could u let us know the amt of fabric in yard or inches please thanks am with ur channel so long and I never regret it, may not like everything but most of the time u never disappoint
Thanks Lily for the love
I did share the fabric usage above in the pinned comment. But I’ll try to mention it in the video next time ☺️
1.5 meters of fabric in inches please ,thank you
What do you mean when you say you are marking a quarter from the hip line? How much is a quarter and from which side
How do I judge the length of the elastic for mine
What was the name of the stitch you used for this project?
Maybe there is enough fabric for some kind of crop top to wear over a tee
Thanks Kim ......this was beautiful on you, love the video......please do the Bikini for your next project!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing
You make pattern drafting to be easy, that pattern master is too good for you
Beautiful, must try make one
Thank you
Good luck with your project ☺️
Good ,mairci
سلام بسیار عالی
Please advise on the name of the ruler with curves
It's called a pattern master, but you can use a french curve as well
@@KimDave thanks
Hi, do you sell your patterns
Well done ma'am pls the 1 inch you added to the back crotch does it work for all sizes
It should work for small & medium hip sizes
You can add me 1.5 to inches if the client has generous hips/butt
For crotch depth if you have a client and you can not get that measurement because you're not with them what do you suggest?
You can ask them to take measurement on themselves and send it to you. Hope that helps
@@KimDave yes it did, thank you 😊
make a cropped tank or sports bra to go with the leggings.
Where can I message you? Cause if its okay for you tho. Im having trouble with making pleated/ knife pleats circle skirt. Cause we or i dont have any pleating board.

Please help your Nigeria sister I want to order your machine type but it's out of Amazon as i speak and am so sad
Oh no
That machine sells out so quickly all the time.
Have you checked the Brother website or Ebay?
🙋🏾♀️ 2 piece bikini tutorial with the scraps please

A bikini of course 😂😂😂😂😂
hahahaha of course 😂
If you have enough scraps maybe sports bra & headband for a complete set
Sports bra. I honestly didn’t think of that, thanks for the idea
1/4 inch isn’t more than appx. 6 mm. To me it looks like your quarter inch marks on the pattern is way more than that 🤔
Didn't explain easy
Not me thinking all I needed to do was cut and sew 😩
I have sent you a dm on insta regarding consultations, you haven't replied... ☹️☹️☹️
