I love riding motorcycles and quads on the logging roads and trails through the redwoods

American history could be told through forestry. This is a great video.

is redwood actually a good wood? I think the best redwoods are the slow growing ones in a forest and they take hundreds of years to make good lumber, but as a farm tree they grow very fast so the wood isnt as dense and has less tannins for rot resistance.

it is primarily used for its aesthetic qualities. If you want dense wood you need hardwood such as maple or oak. if you want pine to last longer you can actually structurally reinforce it using things like linseed oil, or wood hardener

Carrots? This is a simple minded presentation. Forests are not just trees, so enough about "mother nature" and how you are just being like a elven sprite in the woods. 96% of the original redwood forests of CA are gone, and they will not be recreated by tree farms. Just market this as what it is and acknowledge your farms are nothing like a forest.
