- Welcome to Episode 40 of Katzenwagen TV's PH Road Trip series!
In this episode, we try out the Metro Manila Skyway, SLEX and STAR Tollway.
This is the southbound trip where we start from Osmeña Highway in Makati to access Skyway, and exit at the rotunda at the very end of STAR Tollway in Batangas.

@@HakimIshak I wish we could attach photos here in the comments. I wanna show a road here, more than a year after widening by adding two more lanes on both sides, and the new lanes still have electric posts in the middle, like dead center in the middle of the new lane XD
@@KatzenwagenTV, so it's the opposite situation. Roads and bridges in Philippines are bad.
@@HakimIshak A lot of them, yes. But there are still some cities and provinces (provinces are like states in Malaysia, but we're not yet federated) that have surprisingly nice roads that you'd think you were in Japan XD

ask lang ,,kapag dadaan ng toll gate kahit saan kba pwede pumila basta nkalagay lang cash？ anu po ba ung ETC cash？ thank you sa mag reply...
yup yung CASH safest puntahan kung wala kayu RFID ng expressway. pag ETC/Cash ang sign, pwede ang meron at walang RFID. nilagay siguro para sa mga walang RFID na nagkamali ng pila at di makalipat sa CASH lane para iwas panic at aksidente.
kung ETC lang, at walang RFID, syempre iwasan kasi ang alam ko mataas multa nyan tapos kukumpiskahin pa lisensya mu pag wala ka RFID pero sa RFID-only lane ka pumasuk :3 :)

yup, a bit. just the areas near the Buendia flyover :3 traffic was horrible there when I drove back to Buendia from Batangas XD
Libre ba yan sir? alang toll gate bago pumasok slex eh
tollway din yun. wala na ticket or RFID tagging pag nagstart sa Buendia kasi considered as ‘entire Skyway’ na P165 toll pag umexit ka lampas ng Alabang. kung sa SLEX ka eexit, kasama na yung P165 na toll sa Skyway plus toll ng SLEX :)
Sir ano na po ang latest update ng skyway stage 3. Saan na po ang bagong ramp other than buendia. I will be travelking from north (Baguio to Batangas Port) so basically from TPLEX-SCTEX-NLEX to SKYWAY PO SANA then SLEX to batangas port na) pero hindi ko pa po alam kung saang ramp ako aakyat ng skyway 3. (As per the latest open public skyway 3 line/section). Maraming salamat po kung may makakapagbigay ng advice..
Hi Sir Michael! Unfortunately, wala akong info about the current progress sa Skyway Stage 3 kasi di aku nakakadaan dun. However, I highly recommend that you visit the dmitrivalencia channel. Sobrang up-to-date, detailed, and very accurate ang info ng mga Skyway Stage 3 update videos nya :) :) :)

18:01 you tagged as Sto. Tomas exit but it should be Calamba Exit.
no. the first exit really is Sto. Tomas exit. you can clearly see the sign when you pause the video, coz it’s basically westbound.
the next immediate exit is the Calamba exit, coz it’s eastbound to Calamba itself, and when you pause the video there, it says Calamba

If u came from sucat or bicutan, use skyway at-grade because skyway elevated will just lead you to NAIA and makati and skyway stage 3.

He suggests using skyway if you want a faster route, but has to pay toll fees.
