He is #1! No one had control over their voice like Gedeon, NO ONE! His range, dynamics & vocal timbre were INCREDIBLE! & let's not forget he was a 17-year-old boy at this time & he handled himself on stage in everything he did like a true professional. They didn't blow up his age like they did w/ Kevin Covais, or the fact that his & his 6 other siblings father died just a few month prior, eventhough they hyped Kelly Pickler's father being in JAIL. The direction of the show is pre-planned.
As a personal friend of his, I worked many days with him on the Lion King Production and had him on my show on the Memphis Public Access Channel (Channel 17). He is an incredibly talented and humble guy!
I think he should of been in the finals with Chris. He got eliminated way to soon! This man sounds like he sounds in the leagues of legends like Sam Cooke and Ben E King.... are u kidding me. Chris, Elliot, and Gedeon were the top 3 vocalist. Top 5 shud have been Paris, Gedeon, Elliot, Chris, and Katharine McPhee. This season was just completely off!
You should see him now he's an amazing performer. Simon used to be a serious ahole. Who says someone's smile bothers them? He has a very beautiful smile and he was only 17 at the time. Simon was horrible.
I was Soo Pissed when he got eliminated especially after singing 'a change gone come'..that was the most messed up season,the last season with real good talent. But i think Simon messed up his chance becuz he was always talking down on him smh.like when Simon talked about his smile,smh for his 2nd performance he didn't even smile afterwards smh I'm glad he's still singing Id love to see him on The Voice
Oh, god If I was there trough the crowed, at the end of the song I would've gone to slap this Simon guy. He was almost offensive! This guy first of all is talented and this is a fact no matter if you like it or not. Second it has a charm and character when he performs, a great energy. Third and how can you turn down someone like this? knowing that the guy had a facked up past and strugled so much to get there and have a chance. Sometimes our smile is all we got!! He is also so modest. Good luck!

Its not a competition. I just met him after he was on American Idol. You probably live near him, right. His Mom was with him too. Also, I wanted to ask if you know when they made the music video(as well as the song)?
Not to one up or put a rain cloud on you meeting him or anything, but I've known of him since he was 9, met him when he was like 12, know his 6 siblings, some cousins, and one of my cousins is married to one of his cousins. LOL. But yeah, he IS a really nice guy. :o)
