Both, they have the plug and were buying at $350-400 a pair weeks before the release - that’s serious margin for Travis (and team) and shops the resellers were buying from, especially considering Travis and shops are getting at wholesale from Nike.
What I’ve been doing is partial boycott. I would still go for the hyped shoes and my personal/nostalgia retros but everything else ie. accessories & apparels I get from smaller brands like UA, NB, even urban outfitters etc. it’s fun trying different brands. One brand I wanna try next is Salomon

Two years ago he worked all summer to save and buy some Travis Scott Fragments but he has never worn them and there in a plastic case. All his other dunks and Nikes are under $150. I've given him dunks and Jordan ones in the past for his birthday and Christmas. I'm definitely going to put them in one of my regular dunk boxes and wrap them up. What I don’t understand (or I don’t want to understand) is how that many pairs go in the hands of one person. This is obviously something Nike has a part in, obviously. nike and travis scott should fix this problem fast !! they should only give a huge amount of pairs to few central and official nike stores where they can check them daily with their agents and two main sites only (travis and nike) to stop this backdooring !! i mean to give 2-3 pairs to someone to make some money is ok-ish but getting thousands like this guy it's wild, abusive, greedy and disgusting!
It is crazy that all of these resellers get all of those Travis Scotts and you can't even get a pair of them at retail price even on the Snkrs app especially when you have been a member of the Snkrs app for years. At what point will this stop 😤
What I don’t understand (or I don’t want to understand) is how that many pairs go in the hands of one person. This is obviously something Nike has a part in, obviously. As a fan of travis I would love to have a pair of these, just for the sake of it, not to resell them, not to brag, not to swag, not to be cool. Just ‘cause I’m a huge fan, I love aj1, and I love the colors. I would not be mad if this happened with a couple hundred pairs but these are thousands of pairs….
Travis Scott didnt drop on SNKRS in India. Was waiting for the whole day. Only merch was there on the site. It’s really disappointing

How do these get “back doored “ in the first place? I’m sure if Nike really wanted to stop it, they can easily stop it from happening. They let it happen. They actually don’t care.

Why pay top $ for something that's not limited. I know the average sneaker head can't control their edge to buy, look how it affected the market when sneaker heads didn't cop.
Honesty felt disappointed but kinda saw coming this whole travis jordan 1 situation if we look back at past drops, but this one was a little funnier and sad to me cause I saved the whole year with the hopes of this being my own birthday present 😅

So believe it or not Nike actually thrives off of sneaker resellers, they drive the hype guys which I know that should be Nikes Job but the they need the culture of sneaker heads and sneaker resellers which is something money doesn’t really buy, I think there’s a way to fix this problem I think Nike should offer a resellers program/school and content creator program that way they’re giving more opportunities to the regular person who loves shoes and wants to give it a try

Mate Nike is dead the releases no one can get there hands on plus to many releases of the same shoe different colours it’s just some what boring now and the shoes are hard like a brick and not comfy at all in no way or form.ASICS is top dog and new balance and will be for a while because the comfort is so good that now for many people that have made the switch to those brands will find it hard to go back to dead plastic hard wearing smash your toes Nike shoes RIP Nike 😂

Not really upsetting. This has happened before with the mochas and fragments. Best bet was to grab a pair for the cheapest resale (calm before the storm) before everyone takes the L on release day and the prices go up due to supply and demand.

The Travis release L is an expectation at this point. Even without the bots and backdoors there’s just not enough of these for everyone who wants one. But they made too many pairs or some recent 4s for no reason.
