Singer-Songwriter Garrett Bolden Talks RENT

Manila, Philippines--#GarrettBolden, a Sparkle GMA Artist Center talent, fits like a glove in the role of computer genius Tom Collins in the rock musical “Rent,” A 15th-anniversary presentation of 9 Works Theatrical, this Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical “Rent” returns to the stage at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium until the first week of June 2024, where Bolden shares the stage with Anthony Rosaldo (Roger), Reb Atadero (Mark), and Ian Pangilinan (Mark), among others.
Bolden also recently sat down with BroadwayWorld for a one-on-one interview, where he candidly talked about his earlier apprehensions about auditioning for local theater companies, what he’s discovered about doing theater (He did “Miss Saigon” and “Beauty and the Beast” in Guam recently), and what would he ask the late Larson, if he were alive today.
