@@mamaandpapajoe Im glad to see you enjoying Turkey. Stay safe and happy👍🏼🇺🇸🤙🏼
That Turkey Breast looked perfectly cooked. Great color and juicy 😎 I gotta say that injector needle made me nervous 🤓
Lololol... been using that technique for years man. I've stuck myself but it's very rare. Thanks for watching Ric.
Look at that color!! Not a big fan of turkey, but will have to try this one at home!! Maybe my customers might like it after all!! Great Video!!
Nice looking smoked Turkey breast Joe, I don’t cook Turkey often. But when I do it doesn’t disappoint! Take care.
Same here Guy. I'm still shocked at how much I'm enjoying these sandwiches.
Uh . . . Dang, man!
I'm startin' ta get the idea that you really know what you're doing.
Nice video - inspiring. Thanks.
Gonna try it after The Fourth.
That’s a great looking turkey, I am not a turkey fan either but I tired a smoked Turkey breast from a smokehouse neAr Detroit and I was hooked I have been wanting to try my own. Thanks to you I just may do it
Good needle work CJ! Always looking for injection ideas for turkey, gonna have to try this one out...👀👍
I know I left a comment yesterday I notice an issue with comments showing on some channels. Glad to see you trying the boring meat again I think I had a tear in in my eye
Lololol.... I saw that Lance, the platform is still spotty today. Smoked turkey breast is legit.
Yessiree! Great looking bird and welcome to the club! I smoke a lot of turkey and was hoping that you would give Turkey another try. It is good for you and good for me whenever you try new recipes!
Nice job and I am definitely going to try your injection recipe. Looked like a winner.
Yessir, I'm on that turkey breast train. The injection was delicious but the injecting technique really stops it from leaking out of that protein.
@@mamaandpapajoe - In the past, a lot of my injection would leak out so I will give your injection technique a try as well. Good stuff 👍🏾
My favourite poultry, done right there’s nothing like it, thanks Joe
WOW!!!!!!!😃That Smoked Turkey Breast looks really delicious😋A "BIG"👍🏻ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻
@@mamaandpapajoe I love your channel❤All around GREAT content😃Cheers from Northern California🍻ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻
He is the PERFECT CHEF... Listen to how he discusses diff approaches to this meat. "I think I'm going to truss." I don't like turkey." "That looks like enough." NOTHING is scripted.
This guy is baller!!! His techniques are 💯 perfect!
1. Shaping/trimming the meat 🍖
2. Trussing (uniformity on shape and presentation). 👌
3. Beautiful injection (unsalted butter bc he used salted stock).
4. Great seasoning crust... balanced flavor, not overly heavy spices (bc turkey can't hold it like a brisket). Only suggestion a bit of sweet (honey or sugar, and some paprika).
5. Fat added (butter) to lean meat whilst wrapping.
6. 164 petfect !!! 😋😋😋
lol.... Thanks a lot Jonathan, truly appreciated. I love the idea of a little sweet, I will definitely incorporate that next time! Are you a Chef? I love your observations!
That first shot - when you opened the grill and the breast had beautifully turned to dark brown - was truly amazing! A work of art??? :))) I will try this next time we do turkey; thank you for the video.
Thanks Super Bear, I wasn't sure what to expect but it worked out nicely!!
We love eating these at home. I cook 2 sometimes 3 of these a month just for me and my wife. Go great on salads the next day.
I trust in your call to truss dis bird. 🦃
Almost a boring cook, except dat Turkey juice was pretty lit. 🔥
Outstanding crust on that thing, CJ! 👌
lololol..... I appreciate that Joe, but you know that turkey kinda cooked itself!!
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I'm heading out to the store now to get everything needed to make this. God Bless
I'm glad you found something you like Brian, we appreciate your support.
Great lookin turkey. I get you on being so-so on turkey, but several in my family love it and I love cooking for them so we do 'em pretty often. You definitely nailed it. My way of eating turkey - turkey, bacon, avocado, Swiss, lettuce and tomato sandwich on lightly toasted sourdough.
Great video as usual, love watching your videos. I'm not a big turkey eater but that one looks amazing, definitely have to give it a try. Thank you and keep them coming.
Dang CJ!......Perfection once again that Turkey Breast looks absolutely delicious. Great cook my brother. Take care and have yourself a great week . Cheers ✌️ 🍺
Thanks Stephen, no more store bought deli turkey after this! See you tomorrow for sure. Stay safe!
@@mamaandpapajoeYes Sir the video is uploaded already for 9AM ET. LOL 😁
Brah you killed it. Your a turkey fan now. I've been wanting to do this but V is not a big fan. If I follow you, she will be.
Bruh! I'm on that turkey breast train now! If V eats store deli turkey, she is going to love this!
We only just started smoking things on the grill. We had never done it before. We did some ribs a couple weekends ago. They turned out great and now I want to try other meats. I think turkey would be great! Now I gotta see if I can find a turkey breast that doesn't cost an arm or leg lol. This turned out looking great!! Wish I could smell it! Heck, wish I could taste it!! I was going to say that would be great on a sandwich. Then you said you were gonna make a sandwich for dinner. Yup. But that was one amazing sandwich.
That is awesome Happy place, find a small portable grill that you can take camping with you. Most of our recipes are so easy to follow. That turkey breast cost $24 but it'll go a long way. Thanks for watching.
Great vid. I have some turkey breasts in the freezer from last Thanksgiving. I've been thinking to pull them out this summer to smoke (since I got my Traeger earlier this year). My questions are, why did you decide to put it on the small cooking rack vs directly on the grates? Also, would you have used a cooking rack if doing it on your Traeger? Thanks
Sounds great Dick! They're going to be awesome on the Traeger, some cherry pellets would give you a great color. I've got into the habit of seasoning all my proteins of racks of different sizes like this. Because of my competition background, appearance is important to me even here t home. Using the racks helps to not mess up my layers of seasonings as I transfer and move that meat around. They are not a must. Thanks for watching.
Man, that was purdy and you cooking and eating a boring Turkey again I think I had a tear in my eye :)
I know the King of Hatin on Turkey didnt just make a fire turkey breast haha Nice work as always brother.
Excellent, beautiful color, man I wish I could find a lobe of turkey breast, I’m definitely going to try this procedure with chicken breast too, slicing into that, if the ends are that juicy I can’t imagine how juicy the center was, super cook
Dude, this should be available in your local grocery store. That injection technique really works!
@@mamaandpapajoe all we have are the small netted version nothing that size to do a Texas style , we have bone-in though
Beautiful turkey breast, love the color. Good call on trussin it. 🤘
Thanks Bear, it was a good call, it evened out the cooking and helped retain those juices.
First, we eat with our eyes and that looks delicious. Also, as a lifelong beard wearer, Man that beard is awesome.
I love me some breast. Turkey breast too lmbo. You did that 👏
@@mamaandpapajoe yea I agree. When done right, backyard turkey is life changing 😋
Can you please provide me with the name and model of the injector you are using? That thin needle looks like money. My injector tears the meat too much. Thank you.
The syringes are just disposable syringes from Academy. The needles are more difficult to find. I get them from
www.mortechmfg.com/
They are 7 inch 14 and 15 gage hypos
"Almost a boring cook " lol luv it you the man CJ
Thanks Lonzo... but you know that breast kinda cooked itself man...lololol
