Looking forward to seeing these come to fruition. Great kits that I am considering for my 18" by 4' by 2' by 12' L shaped switching layout I am slowly working on. I am on the fence between these cornerstone modern warehouse kits vs the there other older warehouse offerings.
I used some of their older ones on my larger HO layout I recently took down. I'll be combining these with some of the older buildings into some modular structures I can rearrange and such. I was able to get each of these for about $40 each on sale several months ago (or maybe it was a discount code, don't remember) so they are pretty good buys for all you get if you can get them on sale.
Is there a definition of what is considered "Modern" with these kits? I'm just in the initial planning phases of a 4'x6' "L" HO switching layout loosely based on the Union Line around the International Harvester plant in Ft. Wayne, IN and the trucking transfer industries associated with it in the mid/late 1970's. I think these might work well for my ideas, but maybe too modern? I suppose painting/weathering can help them fit into an older era. Looking forward to how you proceed with yours.
Yeah, probably anytime in the last 20 years would work with these kits. I think maybe I started seeing buildings like this in the 1990s but not sure. There is a big industrial area not far from my house and all the structures going up there are kind of like this. Though they are making them a little more attractive looking now with different color bands and designs on the front sides.
I'm thinking of doing an HO Scale switching layout as well as doing modeling in N. These kits look like a lot of the places that I do pick ups and deliveries to in the Central Valley of California where I live.
I like your comment about how Walthers kits you have to look at them as a kit for parts and pieces(in so many words),cause that's why i buy them. Not to many of their structure kits are in anyway even close to being "Realistic"in the world of actual size.Or actual configuration,I see them as just one part of a complete real life structure(like the kits you have in the video).
Great video
I enjoyed this unboxing video. I'm very interested to see what you end up doing with those two kits. Something to look forwards to.
Rodney Lane Thanks! Hopefully I’ll make progress on the structures and related videos this weekend.

Now if Walthers will just issue these in N scale!
Jerry Smith I hope they make them in N scale, I think they would sell quite well.

I have some 1/64 scale diecast semi trucks. Can I use this?
HO is 1/87 so 1/64 will be too large. Basically S scale, or halfway between HO and O scale. Maybe some will look close enough to sort of work.
