Climbing Rainbow Peak & Black Mesa - Chugach State Park, Alaska

I meet up with James in Anchorage and we drove south down the Seward Highway to climb Black Mesa and Rainbow Peak. He took us on a route that involved lots of mud, bushwhacking, scree, and Chugach choss. The weather was perfect and the view of the Turnagain Arm from this summit is hard to beat!

thanks for the video. Hey with regards to the drone...NGL, you had me in the first half. Are drones not allowed there? Also, could you please do a video where you show what you pack for just a day hike? Looking forward to the next post.

you aren't allowed to fly a drone in Chugach State Park and i've heard the voice of at least one person who does make it their business to report every drone sighting they see in person or on social media to the authorities. i appreciate the request and i'll definitely consider creating a "what i pack" sort of video since i have not created one yet.
