I love shotguns in any video game that has them, and Borderlands is no exception. My favorite has gotta be the Hellwalker; I love the Doom reference, and the fact it's genuinely a good gun is the cherry on top.
Jacob’s pistols are top tier for me. The BL3 Maggie is just so much fun to use. A close second is Tediore shotguns. The Anarchy is almost unstoppable.

My favourite weapon type is definetly shotguns. So many fun ones to choose from.
There is nothing more fun than running around with a lob or a hellwalker and one-shotting everything.
It is sad that most of them fall off in mayhem levels.
I gotta say, my favorite weapon type is either Launchers or Pistols, with my favorite Launcher being a three-way tie between the Norfleet, Plaguebearer, and Backburner, and my favorite Pistol being either the Maggie, Flood, or Free Radical.
The Maggie in both BL2 and BL3 is so much fun
My favorite weapon type is easily snipers, and my favorite sniper would be the longbow. Really fun farm, and I love the attention to detail in that whole area.
Snipers, SMGs, and pistols, your Chill n Kill Zane build is one of my favorite ways to play BL3, but I fell in love with Snipers due to Zero in Borderlands 2 and it's still how I always play zero while using a pimpernill or a Lyuda with Bore and seeing bosses get deleted, I'm also like I don't care for OP levels at all so level 80 is fine with me. Also if we could get a new weapon archetype in Borderlands I would want to see grenade launchers in Borderlands 4, then I'd use nothing but Smgs, grenade launchers, Snipers, and shotguns.

I love shotguns, my favorite shotgun is definitely the hellwalker from bl3 bc it’s just so satisfying to one shot everything with doom sounds in the background!
Best type - assault rifles.
Favourite assault rifle - the OPQ. OP is right - that thing even levels below me on higher mayhem levels shredded damn near everything, especially as Moze. And the drone version that you can turn into 2 drones if you fire it on the right shot for extra OPQ? That thing is nasty!
So glad they made the Cartels event permanent for free so I could get a Mayhem 10 version.

QOTD: I always loved Revolvers since BL1. Now they are just generally pistols though which is cool. Favorite pistol is likely the Trick shot from BL3 cause dang it is fun to use!

Yes. My favourite really is a common, it felt more powerful than most of the legendaries back then because of the weird elemental procs..
I love shotguns. Top 3 are for me are: Carnage (from either BL1 or 2), Swordsplosion, and Hellwalker. In that order.
Brick is the weapon type and Brick's fists are the weapons
SMGs and hands down the Kaoson. Not the most powerful, but still very strong, especially Moze. It's my favorite though, because it's just so damned satisfying to use. The feel, the sound. It's just so fun!
Kaoson is so damn fun.
Shotguns. Any of BL2 shotguns with Torgue barrels, but specifically the Ravenger and Quad. But if I had to choose a specific named shotgun, it's tied between Jack O Cannon and a vertical grip Swordplosion (either BL2 or Wonderlands. Both terrific.)
Ravager was MY JAM back when the level cap was 50. Just felt sooooo damn good.
I think my favorite has to be shotguns now. Between the Conference Call in BL2, the Lob and Hellwalker in BL3, and the Reign of Arrows in Wonderlands, shotguns are all great. Plus, the Lob is my all-time favorite weapon in the franchise.
Plus Faisor Alt Fire. Have you tried that? So much fun

As for QOTD. my favourite weapon type is the shotguns, with my favourites being the Hydra from BL2 (Deputy Sal is bonkers).
Smgs is my favorite gun archetype. They are all great and have different playability

Not only was this gun so strong it removed the chance of torgue SMGs for all other borderlands games so far, it made doing the underdome solo ez.
It's great in the Underdome, but for my 100% completion I found the Hellfire to be MORE effective generally. Both are amazing though.
Overall it's SMGs, largely due to the BL1 Hellfire & Anarchy, as well as the Lascaux & Bad Touch in BL2.
Though I do have a special place in my heart for a BL1 masher Equalizer and the BL1 Mongol, as those were the guns I used to solo Crawmerax with (albeit very, very, VERY slowly) to get that particular 'chievo.
Rifles. Pa's rifle maybe. Fun to shoot and the whole idea of it being some normal jakobs rifle that got souped up out in the barn is appealing somehow. Scorpio from 2 was fun as well
Pa's Rifle is SUPER underrated.

QotD: Hard choice between launchers and shotguns. Both feel incredibly good in all the Borderlands games I’ve played (2 & 3). Favorite launchers are the Topneaa and Kickcharger; favorite shotgun is The Butcher.
Have you tried the Backburner? It's kinda like the Topnea but somehow better

For me favourite weapon's class have to be shotguns and assault rifles but since my favourite weapons is The Bekah in BL3 i gotta pick AR this time. The feeling of it is just amazing. Especially on Fl4k.
Shotguns. If a game has Shotguns I am mostly gonna use those.
Also favorite Shotgun is the Redline. Its sounds just so satisfying.
Redline is just RIDICULOUS especially on Moze. Have you tried the Garcia on FL4K? That shit is FUN.

Always love when a random Monty Python clip is used. Which of the MP movies do you like most K6? Mine is the Holy Grail just for the Sorcerer named Tim, the priests, the rabbit, and the French guy on the wall. Oh and your still going to get that triple spike shield before Absorb, Fleet or Vagabond are going to be seen.
Holy Grail. There's SOOOOO many amazing moments. The Bunny. The horny women trying to seduce Sir Galahad. The Black Knight. the insulting French man. "I'm getting better" etc. Such a quotable, rewatchable masterpiece of comedy.

I like my guns big, heavy and with cool effects I am a man of the Assault Rifle and the Draco is my favourite, because who doesn't like a gun that breathes fire!

Ironically for someone as abysmal at aiming as I am, I've always liked sniper rifles in Borderlands. My favourites have been the Buffalo from BL2 and the Storm from 2 or 3. The first... I have to disagree with you about iron sights snipers, they really make you feel good for actually hitting the shots, especially rewarded with a huge, straightforward chunk of damage (not in OP levels, but eh, it'd be pointless to measure things by OP levels in Borderlands 2, which are designed to suck the fun out of 95% of the guns in the game.) As for the Storm, it's just incredibly fun to use. The sound design on Maliwan snipers in BL2 is excellent, but there's also just the enjoyment of seeing those electric orbs starting to chew through everything next to your target.

@@Ki11ersix Sniping was much better in 2 imo. I feel like it was a way more viable game play style and I dont remember running out of ammo all the time like in 3. Definitely some good sniping in 3 but that was my go to in bl1 and 2 both honestly and it's just not the same in 3.
@@Ki11ersix I think that we run into good ol' relativity here. Sniping in BL2 definitely felt better and more viable, but I think that's because in BL3 so much more became viable. You actually have a pretty large number of different builds and weapons that are used regularly in BL3, as opposed to the hyper-specialized builds of 2. And a lot of those builds are more consistent than a sniper. I actually think that there are more high-tier snipers in BL3 than BL2, and on average they can perform better, but the sheer number of other effective builds in BL3 makes it seem like sniping is less relevant. Plus, at least for my tastes, the design of snipers in BL3 is less satisfying (the sound design in particular for some reason feels really underwhelming) and somehow doesn't really feel true to the paradigm.
A lot of the weapon designs sort of lean more towards either a rocket launcher sort of design, with massive AOE devastation, or some kind of automatic shredder, and sniper rifles are no exception. There's not actually that many notable sniper rifles in BL3 that feel like a traditional sniper (High damage focused on a single point.) Look at things like the Complex Root, which feels more like a hybrid of a shotgun and a rocket launcher. Think how many sniper rifles in BL3 you never even bother zooming in with, because their delivery actually doesn't really depend on precision over long distances. BL2 doesn't really have that; I actually kind of dislike the Pimpernel, but I have to admit it feels like a genuine sniper, even if a very gimmicky one. The Lyuda in 2 still feels like a sniper, albeit an automatic one that has the elements of what an assault rifle should be, while in 3 it feels much more like an oversized SMG. Maybe it's just me.

Would have to say my favorite weapontyp is pistol and my favorite weapon of that type is the infinity pistol from bl2 it was just perfect for me vack in the days i think i was like 12 or something and died all the time so i had no Cash but with that beauty it was no problem ❤❤
I love pistols. My favourite is the linoge. Why? Because it curses you and I think it knows you want something that isn't it.

You hate iron sights on snipers, K6? Ever heard of Simo Häyhä? Also known as The White Death? Also my favorite weapon type has to be SMGs. Personal favorite as a moze main is the Flipper.

Shotguns.I'm a big fan of the Three Dog in Borderlands 2, it may not be the best or the flashiest but it's easy to get, can carry you for a while,has a huge magazine and every character can use it unless your doing a challenge run.
