I got one of these last week. Absolutely brilliant boat. I use it for piking (putting my baits out in places that's impossible to cast to) as well as bream/tench fishing (putting out the equivalent of 20 spods in one trip). Brilliant boat I couldn't rate it highly enough!

Message to Tom Ashworth Jones, and other users.. A few ideas/tips, always mount/hold the receiver as high as possible above the water just to ensure that you retain a good unshielded signal to/from the boat, chest height is fine. Make sure that your controller antenna is in the same plane as the antenna on the boat, they should both be vertical for best signal strength.
You should also make a dummy test on land first by walking away from the boat while an assistant stays at the boat to observe your control actions. You could leave the boat in the water tied to the bank and then walk around the lake to a reasonable distance and test the controls/actions from there, that way at least you will not 'lose' the boat.
If you regularly lose control when dumping the bait tray make a good check around inside the boat when it has been recovered. A good place to look is around the solenoid that opens the bait door or its linkage. Ask yourself is the linkage in anyway pulling wires out of position/plugs.
Are the main batteries securely mounted inside the hull and the cable connectors pushed fully home?
And like all electronic equipment treat with respect. Keep the internals dry and look after your batteries.
    Water is your enemy.
I spent many years building/flying model aeroplanes where electronics /wire security are always paramount. The biggest headache was vibration and 'gravity'.
Range test your gear before committing the vessel to the wide open water.

I bought this boat today with the fish finder, what a great piece of kit and an absolute steal for the price, there are 3 fish size settings, does anybody know what size it classes as a big fish ?

ive got one of these and it is very good and would be easy to repair if it went wrong ,ive put a small block of foam in the front of the batt trays pushes them back and stops them sliding forward ,and this also lifts the front up in the water better , look on ebay for a sell called , carp corner , he sells a barrow bag by ngt very good and fits the boat and bits great for £19,95 to the door

Do you just sit your rig on top of the bait or do you put the rig in first? Doesn't seem obvious from the vid. Also how is it at emptying sloppy mixes? Has a boat with a similar style hopper before and it was useless for sticky/sloppy mixes.

Can you put you rig in it or just bait..?

Off course mate. But a boat is better used with just a rig. Don't forget about your rig swinging back. 1ft for every 4ft. better off dropping the the rig to the clip or where need be and bait up afterwards.
