I’ve spent over 20 years attempting to build an augmented exoskeleton. I’ve come really close, and for much cheaper than you’d think. Forget being bulletproof, forget flight, forget unlimited battery life, and it becomes not only do-able, but affordable too, that is if you can afford a Lamborghini. The powered exoskeleton has a 90min battery life and can lift 40kg as if it’s 0kg. This scales with your own strength. Everything you lift will be 40kg lighter. I quit working on it because you can get similar results with calisthenics for 99% less money. The suit is expected to cost $500,000 including development expenses. It has to be made tailored to your bone structure and cannot be made “one size fits all”. The primary technology behind it is robotis dynamixel and Nvidia jetson. Now that I’ve got a bad back, incontenance, and a bad stomach I think I might revisit it. Doing the project alone will take me 20 years.
