I have read Romans before, but obviously nothing stuck in my mind. Just listened to Chuck explain chapter 2 and was awakened by the importance of each and every verse. Chuck points out the common but dangerous sin of pride. I had pride big time until I read the deadliness of pride. What a blessing Mr. Missler is providing to each and every one of us. Praise God.
People who have not heard of Christ will be "justified" by God provided they are not given-over to a sinful life according to Rom 2. However, to reject Christ brings condemnation regardless of a person's merit.
Hab 2:4 quoted in Rom 1:17 is probably better translated "the just shall live by his faithfulness." - from the Hebrew version of this verse (Masoretic Text). Also, in the Greek NT, the word "faith" can also be translated as "faithfulness" (3 out of 100 places in the NT). Because of this I suggest that a possible (and I think better) translation of v 17 could be "...from faith to faithfulness, as it is written: the just shall live by his faithfulness." God receives people by faith alone, but brings them to a place of where that faith is acted out in faithfulness (otherwise we don't have saving faith; faith without works is dead). Abraham is the forerunner of this model. This translation/interpretation also expresses the "power" of the Gospel mentioned in v16 in making us faithful. Further, v18 gives us the negative contrast to faithfulness in showing us what lack of faith, leading to unfaithfulness, looks like. "Suppressing the truth in unrighteousness" is an expressed lack of faith in a righteous and just God because we want to behave unrighteously. Romans is mostly focused on convincing Jews that faith alone is sufficient to enter, but not finish, the Way. The Jewish nation had plenty of painful experience in their history with the issue of faithfulness so perhaps rehashing that was less needful for them.Hab 2:4 quoted in Rom 1:17 is probably better translated "the just shall live by his faithfulness." - from the Hebrew version of this verse (Masoretic Text). The 'trinity' is man's idea. Jesus himself quoted the Shema, as the most important commandment. Condemning those whom believe Jesus was being straightforward in his answer to the Jewish scribe, at the very least lacks humility.
Matthew 12:31, “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost will not be forgiven men.” How much worse, to say the Holy Spirit doesn't exist?
I absolutely love Michael Heiser's teachings! Not only him, but some of the names he is often affiliated with over at SkyWatchTV and whatnot: Tom Horn, Derek and Sharon Gilbert, Josh Peck, et al. Blessings to you, in Yeshua's Name!
Always a master class with Chuck at the helm.
God bless this man and thank you God for him

Michael Heiser has some great teachings in regards to the Godhead. Just a suggestion. Much love in Jesus name.
