This series is one of the best things on UA-cam. It never ceases to make me think and get more deliberate about the coming year!

I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles this year. I want to give you a huge hug. This year has been the most pivotal in my adult life for me as well. I was hospitalized last year after a hemorrhage, I almost died, but I was also left with a huge hospital debt. So, this year, I prioritized health. I’ve had chronic pain from a childhood injury and it was really hard. My mom had surgery in the beginning of the year and I had to take care of my bed-bound father. Then, in July, we were blind-sided to find out my dad had a little close to three months to live. I have been traveling back and forth from GA to IL all year-long, while trying to maintain a new exercise routine, some semblance of positivity and barely any sleep. My dad passed away in September and it’s been hardest on my mom. I moved to IL to be near her and my sister and now my marriage is struggling. But, I’ve been leaning into what I can control: my health routine, prayer and a connection with God, and personal development.
Life just never lets up and I am blown away at how you’ve stayed positive through all of your own struggles.
I use BODi for nutrition and exercise and GrowthDay additionally to my MakseLife prompts for mindset and personal development and I 100% recommend them. Full disclosure, I am an affiliate, so I do get a commission. But, I share it because they’ve really changed my life 100%. I would not have been able to make it if I had the same attitude nor physical state as I did last year. Especially for your struggle for nutrition, I think 2B Mindset would be amazing for you. Try it out for a month and see for yourself if it fits you. Let me know, I’d love to be of help in any way.
Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing this super personal activity with us. There are many of us who appreciate you for being you. ❤

2024 will be my first year using the ML system. I've watched your videos for well over a year and watching you use ML was one of the reasons I decided to add it to my planner lineup. My current system isn't working, and I wanted to downsize. However, I ended up adding. In 2021, I used 1 planner but determined I needed one for work and one for personal. Yet, my personal still isn't working as I want. So, now I will have 3 with ML focused on goals only. TY for these videos.

I love your goal planning series. I took a break from goal planning when I lost my dad in 2021. 2024 I'm getting back on track. I can't wait for your next two videos.

I've been struggling with my goal setting for the past year. Life was so busy I didn't have time to think. Now that things are more stable, I'm dusting off my Companion Notebooks and diving back in! I'll be working through the Yearly Reflections over the coming weeks. It's a slow, challenging process for me

Wow - what a roller coaster year for your family and you, but you all seem to be coming out of it strong. Glad that you shared your Mom is doing well and at the end of her radiation. I went through that in 2017 it's a lot - and it's really worth celebrating when it's done! I love these videos and how thoughtful you are in covering each area and letting us in on your process. I don't think of you as either an influencer (but indeed I've made purchases based on your videos) or content creator (though I realize a great deal of time goes into the prep and creation of your videos) - more like a friend I share a planning and goal setting passion with and sincerely look forward to seeing on UA-cam each time you post.

I struggle with reflection. Writing it down feels like a confession of sorts and makes it ‘official’ so I can’t ignore it. I love this series and am also ready to turn the page on this year. Thanks for sharing this with us. It always helps me tackle my process.

I love this series! Thank you for filming the process again!! You always inspire me with these. 💗 The Daily Stoic has been life changing for me. Best wishes with these goals. I have selected my word and am working on the goals, still kind of in the thinking stage with it. I actually did a vision board this year, i usually don't, but like the idea of a quick visual.

I have yet to sit down to start 2023 reflections. Last year, I started working on them in October and chipped away at it as the weeks progressed. This year, I haven’t yet hit that point where I want to do that yet. Probably because I plan to start my “new year” with the Lunar New Year with isn’t until Feb 10. Soooo, technically I get a free pass to just use January as a time to reflect and plan what my goals for 2024 will be and I’m not mad at all. 😊

I always love these videos!! Will you share when you start car camping? I looked into it a little bit because I really want a class B motorhome but they’re too expensive. So I was researching what people use to car camp to see if I could make my SUV more like a class B. So far I have a portable toilet (for long car rides to my son’s hockey games), an electric cooler, and a hot plate.

Yes! I'm hoping by the summer time I have everything I need and I can head out to Colorado or New Mexico. I've been watching a ton of UA-cam videos on it. Everyone has a different set up and some even live in their cars, but I've been getting lots of ideas.

This is such a great video! You describe everything perfectly. There are a lot of things I need to work on. I have had to sit a lot the past 6 months because I broke my leg in June. Also, I have no appetite. BTW, what is your kidney drink? My son has had several bouts with kidney stones and I think this would help him. Many blessings.

It's called KSP tabs. That's what the doctor recommended. I haven't had any since I started using them. They say to use them three times a day (each one dissolved in a glass of water) but I usually do one or two and drink a ton of water.
