Imma be real, this tierlist has only a few flaws imo. I'd say put mark of pride, dream wielder, long nail and sporeshroom down one tier and I'd fully agree. Explaination: mark of pride is great, but doesn't nearly give back enough dps for it's cost to be compared to strength, shaman (and soon obv quickslash) Dream wielder is amazing, but it's useless against all Warrior spirits and alot of the faster bosses. It's easily Top of A tier when it can be used tho. Long nail doesn't do much. I haven't used it since my second playthrough, simply because the added range is almost unnoticed in combat. Sporeshroom deals very little damage for how situational it is. When I heal, I want to be far away from my enemy, meaning it'll rarely hit and against any Boss that moves at all it basically never gets it's full damage out. I'd rather be able to upgrade from another 1 notch charm to a two notch or from a 2 notch to 3 than equip it
@i_haskill honestly I'm Happy to finally See someone appreciate grubberfly. Most underrated Charm in the game imo. Tho to be fair I might be biased, because of beating bosses on radiant. That Charm literally trivialises all of their fight and has so many cool combinations.
Overall, this charm is not very good. The increased knockback often would work against you, I imagine, as it would be harder to combo enemies, and even if it didn't, the effect is still just not that good, as what does more kb even do to help you that makes it worth anything? It is outshined by almost every other 2 notch and one notch charm and is next to useless. Maybe if it made reflected enemy projectiles stronger it would be a cool one notch gimmick, but even still, 2 notches is far too much. One thing is that - so I've heard - it makes broken vessel/lost kin easier as it reduces the hits needed to stagger them by one. Other than that, worthless and in the right place in the tier list imo.
@@N66124 I would only use thorns if it was 0 or -1 notches from how it can get you hit multiple times from the loss of i-frames. Heavy blow at least seems to have niche places where it’s helpful in some way 🤷♂️
@@i_haskill thorns of agony is just used for extra damage, and very good against some enemies and bosses, also it’s good for a 1 notch and deals one nail damage, unlike heavy blow, you take a bit of advantage hitting the boss back if it hits you, you want to stay close to the enemy and not far away from it which really sucks, even the remaining enemies that might be good against it is still not overall good, and for 2 notches yea it’s not good, if heavy blow deserves a D then so does thorns of agony (in my opinion, I don’t mean to disrespect yours)
@ you are better off taking the hit without thorns and dealing 1.5x nail damage back during your invincibility frames with a nail swing with Fragile/Unbreakable strength equipped. Why deal 1x when I can do 1.5x Edit because I replied at 3am lol: i don’t disrespect your opinion either, just sharing more of my thoughts 👍
@@i_haskillwow it was 3 am in your country, it’s now 10 pm in mine, however you do have a point, unless we’re talking about fragile strength, one death and you gotta take a journey, not the best yes but it can fill up that one notch remaining
Apparently it’s good against radiant Markoth or oblobbles, but it’s basically completely useless or actively detrimental everywhere else

Thorns of Agony is dogwater. You can literally Hit, while invincible to get the 1 Nail damage it deals in
