  • The sequel to Savage Access takes Stone Glacier's Lyle Hebel (@lylehebel) and Ryan D'Agostino (@rawls20) back into the gnarly, burned country of Western Montana in search of bears. Follow along as the guys battle it out on the mountain and try to fill two bear tags.

    I know it's been said, but awesome cinematics. Production was great on this. Please keep more videos coming like this. I love seeing the whole process, packing gear, the grind, as well as the success.

    Great content, love the grind, there is nothing easy about spring bear hunting in the west, it takes months of planning, e-scouting, trigger time, physical conditioning, mental conditioning, but it is truly my happy place.

    Enjoyed seeing a couple guys with a little grey in their hair getting after it like this. Packing uphill and coming down heavy through some tough terrain isn’t for everyone. Very interesting seeing through the scope for the shots as well. Two thumbs up guys!

    Thank you so much for a excellent black bear hunting video! I hunt them in Arkansas in their natural environment and your trips are as real as it gets!! There’s nothing I know of that’s as exciting as stalking black bears. Thanks again!!!! 😊

    Great content, cinematography and production , but seems fairly obvious marksmanship needs some work to be ethical at the ranges you're trying to shoot.

    Maybe some burpee’s at the range before your shot would help to see what your real world range is at.

    A lot of work day packing in on those hunts for sure. I used to run the Stone Glacier packs, but that hip belt needs some beefing up. No matter how I would adjust anything I would always have pressure points on my hips with the SG pack, especially with a heavy load. I wonder if your scope is off if you miss right consistently, but your up and down is fine. Thanks

    • @stoneglacier9636
      @stoneglacier9636  Рік тому

      Yes definitely lots of work. Scope was off when Lyle shot it next after the hunt. Just have to learn and try to eliminate that from future hunts.

      @@stoneglacier9636 It never fails that at least one thing goes wrong on a hunt! I was glassing a bear on the opposite ridge last year and then I get up to make my move and 100yds below me was a beautiful cinnamon bear staring right at me. I fiddle fucked my rifle cover and it ran away and so did the other bear LOL.

    Never commented on a youtube-video before, but having seen many of yours I have to say that you guys promote some pretty low ethical standards.. Isn't the thrill and challenge of hunting to get as close as you possibly can to an animal to make your shot? The shooting you promote seems more suited for the range. Not that you need my business to survive but I have been looking through your videos cause I was excited to go your way when buying a new pack but honestly after seeing questionable shot after questionable shot being taken in every other video you put out I am kind of having second thoughts.. Honestly makes me sad since i think the gear you put out seem second to none!

      Sorry you feel that way after watching the videos. Our team takes a lot of time to prepare their weapons and skills prior to the season but no one is perfect. We show it the way it happens.

    Those helinox chairs are awesome for glassing but next time get the “Ground” chair model with the framed base. The legs on the one you have sink in soft soil and are hard to get level in rocky terrain.
    They’re worth their weight that’s for sure.

    • @stoneglacier9636
      @stoneglacier9636  Рік тому

      Thanks for the input. We'll have to give that model a look!

    • @nathancovington544
      @nathancovington544 Рік тому

      I carry the chair and a glassing pad just in case there’s not a place for, or time to setup the chair. But when there’s time and place I combine them for padded seating or more back support.
      They’re great for sidehills because the base is small enough that you can kick out a little flat spot for it in no time. I’ve found that in rocky terrain it’s well Worth taking 2-3min getting it setup comfortably since I’m going to be in it for several hours/days.
      Anyhow, rad vids. Nice bears.
