    All of the reasons that you discussed about why Voldemort had no interest in any of the deathly hallows makes 100% sense and I agree with each reasoning.

  • @FairytalePrince
    @FairytalePrince Рік тому +26

    While all of these are good reasons, I believe that Voldemort just didn't know about the Deathly Hallows. They appeared in what was to him a children's book, so he had no interest in reading it. But as a child himself, he never read it because he grew up in a muggle orphanage. So I think he simply never read about these stories and heard about the hallows in the way that people who grew up in the wizarding world did.

      Well he did go after the philosopher's stone and the elder wand.
      He probably thought though that the death part of the story was myth. That instead a powerful wizard did it and there was no special outcome to uniting the items. That and he probably thought he would never find the invisibility cloak given it's name. People in Harry Potter strangely never see the significance of Harry's cloak even when he's caught red handed with it. I can't remember a single time when someone attempted to steal it even when they had perfect opportunity to like when malfoy beat him up on the train. Maybe people just simply mistook it for a cheap magical immitation of the real thing and maybe that would make it even more impossible for it to be found.

      I agree, and at 4:22 I’m not okay with what’s he’s saying, because Voldemort is actually someone who collect special, precious and famous object, like his horcruxes from the 4 founders except the griffindor’s sword, he had the cup of Helga, the crown of Rowena and the necklace of Salazar.
      (Sorry for my English)
      He even had the ring of redirection and the wand ! He just missed the invisibility cloak but I think Harry was a priority.
      I also think that if he had killed Harry Potter, he would have take the last Deathly Hallow and the Sword, and he would probably became the living god he wanted to be.

    The Cloak: It is widely understood that Voldemort feared death. You even admit in the video that Voldemort is willing to swallow his ego and hide, "when he is close to death." According to the story of the 3 Brothers, the cloak has the power to do exactly that: hide from death itself. Voldemort had every reason to at least investigate this artifact to see if the story was true. In all likelihood, he simply didn't know where it was; or, more likely, he believe he had already conquered death.

    (Obviously Voldemort didn't know it was the resurrection stone in the Gaunts ring, because it's weird that the resurrection stone didn't react to a piece of soul being attached onto it. So i wonder. I know you need to rotate the stone 3 times for it to work, but how come the power of the stone didn't react to the dark magic? 🤔). To me, this would be an interesting topic to explore.
