I have seen the first video of this grand old lady some years ago, it is so great to see that she is now been supported by authorities and her religious priest. Would like to make a pilgrimage someday to visit her, if its allowed. first heard of her 10 years ago in 2014, amazed by her story and her decades long fight for survival in the wilderness.
She's so tiny! And her face just beams with gratitude. I'm so glad that she was discovered so that she's able to get assistance in her old age. It's obvious that she doesn't want to change her lifestyle, to move to a town; hopefully with the help she's receiving, she will be able to live out her days here, where she feels close to her past, to her deceased family, and to God.

She is in great shape. Fruits and vegetables with goat milk and cheese. Plus She is always on the move. A true legend of the mountains.

Black bears are not as dangerous as Grizziy or Polar bears that we have in Canada. They can be dangerous if they are old and starving because they cannot hunt very well anymore so they go after easy prey like humans and domesticated animals.
Wonderful to see these men helping her…winter time is tough anywhere but here is life threatening..I hope they bring her some cat food too…
