Being able to date people with different opinions is a virtue in my opinion. It shows that you care about the character of a person in stead of the team he/she plays for.
What a cool podcast. So this is what left-wing girl talk sounds like. I'm a math & finance guy dating a law girl. She has always been an SJW and I've converted from a neo lib to a leftist. It's really nice to date someone that has the same core beliefs as you.
How on EARTH would you know how much a man makes on 2nd date? I make a LOT of money and I SPECIFICALLY make sure not to appear too wealthy to a new woman as I don't want a gold digger. I want to know you want me for me. Does she just trust what they say?
Oof, I remember going on a date, was actually really sweet, we did some makeup together and she showed me how to do it since I had no clue. And at some point I made an anti-police joke, something related to rioting, and she called me brutal and inhumane, pulled out her childhood story of when the police helped her, and it went into a huge debate over violence, where my standpoint is obviously that some revolutionary violence in inevitable and justified against structural violence. And her point was basically if you're opressed you have to protest peacefully, no matter what. She went crazy over me saying "I would celebrate if Jeff Bezos got killed". Btw what's the difference between a police car and a vacuum cleaner? Inside the vacuum cleaner is usually only one dirtbag ;)

@@Social_Pugatory I've met a few people who genuinely didn't care as much for the sake of their mental health, saying it just depresses them to be on Twitter/Twitch all day talking about politics. If they turned out to be more left leaning, they simply applied certain principles it to their everyday life and left it at that.
This was just like the group chat that Katie Halper did on her show, in which Brie and Kate participated. Both chats were fun and entertaining. Its a fascinating topic.
That was pretty predictable. When big life altering money is on the table all of a sudden people (in this case women) start equivocating. The thought of a glamorous lifestyle makes most abandon their beliefs and even more question their beliefs. As a Black man I've watched as white men with the personality and charisma of a cardboard box but has plenty money make women (including women of color) change their entire outlook on everything from interracial relationships to their most core principles.
I was on the Bernie train from start to finish, and I would still happily be told by Bri that I wasn't as informed as she was if I had the opportunity to date her!
I went on a date with a woman who was pissed off that I had entirely orthodox views on everything, so she asked if I consumed any problematic content - I said I listened to cumtown and she just didn't speak to me again lol
Definitely entertaining. But I don’t get the notion behind outright saying no to dating people in certain fields as a moral/principle matter. I understand the PRACTICALITY of outright not dating them (e.g. why date a prosecutor when the statistical likelihood of your values harshly conflicting would be higher than, say, dating a leftist campaign manager). But it’s odd to hear this as a MORAL/PRINCIPLE thing. The one woman in the video said she wouldn’t date a military vet, while the other woman responded with some nice pushback about how sometimes entering the military is the only option for some people in certain areas. Are we really going to hold it against a military vet who didn’t have a realistic choice for a different career, and in essence argue that he’s morally deficient because of it? I personally wouldn’t go out of my way to date a military vet because chances are we’ll have too many differences, but I’m not saying no to them because I find their career choice morally objectionable lol. I fully agree that a lot of things go into finding a partner, including how your career might be affected by their career choice. And there may be some careers that are morally deficient by design. I just don’t think the examples of the military vet or the prosecutor are the best at making that point. The prosecutor example is odd too because it might be the only legal job available for certain law school grads saddled with student loan debt. It’s borderline classist to outright refuse to date any military vets, yet be cool with finance bros lol.

What a cool podcast. So this is what left-wing girl talk sounds like. I'm a math & finance guy dating a law girl. She has always been an SJW and I've converted from a neo lib to a leftist. It's really nice to date someone that has the same core beliefs as you.
No I wouldnt because it would never work. (Date a Harris stan)
How on EARTH would you know how much a man makes on 2nd date? I make a LOT of money and I SPECIFICALLY make sure not to appear too wealthy to a new woman as I don't want a gold digger. I want to know you want me for me. Does she just trust what they say?
lol yeah i bet you make a LOT of money.
She lacks compassion for other people's pain.
lol should have asked her if she thinks a peaceful protest would have given Haitian slaves their freedom.
@@morenitomoreno1282 brought something similar up, but she kind kf denies that in western countries like mine there is any meaningful oppression happening that could justify this. (uhm, just climate change alone, hello?)
I've had all of these same dynamics as a man. 😅😂
No fr there’s this person I’m interested in I’m still trying to sus out…they claimed they don’t care about politics and never give any solid opinions on anything except in a joking matter…usually those types are libertarians and I hope not, I like them a lot😩.😂
@@Social_Pugatory my fiancé was like that when I met her. She just didn’t pay attention to it and didn’t know what’s what. Few years later she was putting Bernie bumper stickers on and pushing Medicare for all at work. That’s just a clean slate 😆

Relationships are tough. Good luck everybody
"There is no way I'd date a kamala voter" 'Yeah right'...Your loins is apolitical if he is attractive enough.
I take it that youre not too familiar with these ladies. Like at all

This speaks to me on such a deep level, I’m paying $5 for this month just to hear the whole thing
These women will be single for life
Very hilarious and intelligent conversation
This was just like the group chat that Katie Halper did on her show, in which Brie and Kate participated. Both chats were fun and entertaining. Its a fascinating topic.
i love this episode. 100% the farthest right wing i'd date is demsoc.
The really revealing question came in around 18:15.
I feel like I maybe could if I put my mind to it.
Hell no. This is why I date strictly Europeans.
Good conversation
no.
"There are some things you can't cover up with lipstick and powder. . . ." Girls' Talk
