There's a theme going around in this series that's actually very interesting; being so selfless that one neglects himself and those he cares about, isn't always such a good thing. We saw it with Nana and Shigaraki, we saw it with All Might and Nighteye, and Eraserhead's always talking about how a Hero who can't take care of himself, isn't a good Hero, and that being suicidal isn't the same as being ready to give your life for someone else. Btw I'm saying that She's not entirely responsible for turning Shigaraki into what he is now, but she started the series of events and she and gran torino has to take somewhat responsible.

That guy is persistent, leaving her son behind was the only way to protect him. She shouldn't be given a modicum of blame for what Shigaraki became, even as a joke. I'm disturbed people think Shimura should be given even a little blame for what her son did to Shigaraki, how is she responsible for her son becoming a bastard? Like I said before, he made his choices, what he became is on him.
