Never understood why naughty dog abandoned this franchise. It’s seriously amazing and pure gold. Imagine an open world of jak and daxter now? It be insane or a remastered version like they did for mafia. It would be a record breaker.
I too would love another J&D game, but considering how well "The last of us" and Uncharted were, it's really no wonder. Besides, Jak and Daxter were always made to be evolutionary. And they served their purpose
I agree. An open world would be fun, but there’s one loose string they left wide open. Mar was the one who built Haven City and jack IS mar. Which means jack went into the past a second time to (once again) ensure his younger self was able to complete his destiny. Jak and Daxter the precursor legacy was one of my favorites on the PS2! And Naughty Dog was considering to do a Jak 4 when they did some concept art that was released by them some years ago and they explained the reasons they didn't do it because of the realism of the graphics and the setting that it was taking place, also that it would lose part of what Jak and Daxter was about but I guess we'll never know. But then again, Maybe it was something more big picture involved behind closed doors. I still do want Jak and Daxter to come back in a big way. P.S. sorry for the name change on the lost precursor😅😅. when i was younger i always thought they turn Jak into gul but i think they got rid of that idea when they made jak 3 cause of light eco. could be an alternet universe or somthin tho
It seems to me that the entire Jak and Daxter franchise could be a metaphor for growing up. The first Jak game is about childhood. It is full of bright colours, eccentric but one-dimensional characters, and simple plots. Like how a kid would see the world. The plot revolves around adventure and fun. The second game is about the teenage years when the world all of a sudden seems dark and scary. In fact, Jaks dark transformation could be a metaphor for puberty, his body is changing he is getting moody and he has trouble controlling his emotions. Also the story for Jak 2 deals with much more mature themes. Also while in the previous game, the bad guys were these "others" that came out of nowhere to cause trouble, in Jak 2 the bad guys are other people. Living in the dystopian Haven City he realizes that the very government that is supposed to protect them is as much an enemy as outside forces. I especially love the scene where Jak rediscovers Samus's hut and says "This horrible place is our world", a metaphor for the world that now seems all dark and dreary is the same one that seemed all bright and shiny when you were a kid. Also, the game ends with Jak sending his younger self to the past, meaning he had to give up his younger self in order to get ahead. The artistic implications of having his younger self could be worthy of an essay. The third game starts with Jak getting kicked out of Haven City, this could be about late teens when kids are being kicked out of their homes and forced to find their own place. Jak is then shocked to discover that the world is MUCH bigger than just Haven City, much like how people that age discover the world is a much bigger place then they thought. Jak 3 seems to consist of him trying to find out where he actually belongs, much like how people that age struggle to find where they belong. Also, he has to learn Light Eco which could be similar to how people at that age need to learn to balance their emotions (now that puberty has passed). Jak X is the adult years since the whole game revolves around him driving from A to B, which honestly is kind of what adult life is like. Plus since Jak and Co were poisoned they deal with the idea of death, unlike in previous entries where death was a result of some outside force or on-the-job dangers, but rather it is imminent as in their time is coming. Since this game is the adult years it could be a representation of how people at that age are aware that their end is coming. The last game could be a metaphor for a mid-life crisis. The entire Lost Frontier just oozes franchise fatigue making everything seem tired and worn out. In fact, a major plot point is that the world has used up its eco (or life energy) so everything is falling apart. This gives off the feeling of being drained and collapsing. Also, the game seems to be trying (and failing) to recreate the feeling of the first game, much like how someone at that age would be nostalgic about their childhood. Thoughts anyone?

"Play Daddy" Do you want to hear a joke and the irony that comes with it? Here goes Ashelin going on Rayn's case about having corrupted daddy issues, and her dad was Baron Praxis and he was a worst guy than Krew, well much worst than Krew!
Imagine a Jak and Daxter 4 with the return of Gol and Maia. Samos said it probably destroyed them....I wish so badly, that it evolved them after all these years. I mean they traveled into the future. How long have they been inside the dark eco. Imagine Metal Heads open up this Silo at some point and free them accidently and they are insanely powerful.
@@Jackthat1 I loved Jak X! So much fun having actual weapons on a race track. And not the dorky shells and banana peels like in Mario Kart. The missiles were always my favorites…and also the nova bomb
Theory. Daxter, jak and tess go back in time with the precursors and basically start the entire history of Jake and daxter. Tessa and daxter found the precursor race. Jak learns and implements ways to fight the metal heads and sets the timeline for haven city and his family tree
Daxter: Look, Old man, are you going keep yapping, or are going to help out of this mess?! 4:13 Samos: I'm going to keep yapping! Me: (Laughing) that was a rhetorical question and he just answered it! 🤣🤣🤣

Oh man… I forgot how terrible Lost Frontier was. Maybe it wouldn’t be as bad if it didn’t look like they didn’t finish rendering it. Like when they met Skyheed on the Behemoth it looked like one of those deleted scenes from The Clone Wars series. It really was just unfinished now that I’m looking back on it. You know what would have been a nice idea? Have Skyheed be the servant of a returned Gol and Maya. It would be a good explanation for how they developed their Dark Eco warriors. With Tim being a new Dark Eco Sage who discovered the way to convert Dark Eco into other colors. The final boss wouldn’t be a plane mission, it would be against Gol and Maya again. Maybe have them be fused after years trapped in the Dark Eco silos. In this last fight for the Eco Core, Jak gets his powers back and uses both dark and light Eco to defeat them.
Ysll remember the dumb 50 fish quest, it was so hard i asked my big sister to do it. Tuen she couldnt so we needed our dad, our dad spent most of the day trying to get 50 fish and didnt get it then i went back to it snd finally got it
I can’t help but wonder where this series would have gone if they had stuck with the structure of the original game instead of a grand theft auto clone. They did make it sound like the original boss were going to make a comeback someday.
@@crimsonmaelstrom573 Or Naughty Dog just didn't care anymore about consistency because they merely wanted to make a racing game which has no importance for the overall story. 😏

0:12 jak and daxter saga: precursor legacy, 31:59 jak and daxter saga: kaiden. 1:07:08 jak and daxter saga: metal Kor 3:04:14 jak and daxter saga: errol!. And jak and daxter saga: the legend of mar.....
Daxter: Right! Have a good day!
Errol: I never do
Ximon: That dude needs to chill, dude
Me: Tell me about.
These were some of the best games I ever played 😊
18:06
"OH F#%$- I always wonder if I'm losing body parts in those things.."
Not Jak and Damos enjoying the exchange between Pecker and Daxter 😂😂😂😂
*JAAAAAAAAK, ARE YOU CRAZY!?!**
Oddly the best,line from daxter
“YOU RUINED MY STORY!”
“NOW!!” *knife stabs into counter next to Daxter’s head*
“AAUUGHH! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? STEP ON IT JAK!”
People called me.... Tym!
And no one gets it??? 😂
(Its a loose reference to Monty Python and The Holy Grail. John Cleese forgot the name of the character he played, so he ad libbed "Tim" and the cast stuck with it)
Love that a video of Jak cutscenes is still getting so many views even though it was uploaded in 2023, the love for this game never dies. Please give us another game.
Isn’t it better that it ended instead of ending like COD?
We need the Jak and Daxter games to get remastered/remade like the Crash trilogy. Loved these games!
Thanks!
Omg bro you have everything everytime I think of game I want to watch cut scenes you have them
Seriously wish they would bring the series back or try do a film for the game
Jack and Dexter is one of my childhood games growing up and it's honestly one of the best games I always love coming back to for nostalgic reasons and I really wish they kept on making improvements on the series never know maybe a company that will respect the source material we'll pick it up and we'll get Jack and extra 4 finally or very least would love to see Jack and daxter the lost frontier rebooted in on a console I don't understand why they made it a PSP game personally but anyways thank you for posting this it was nice to go through him not only watch the last game in the series something I never got to play but also look back on all the great adventures we've all been able to play
"Play Daddy"
Do you want to hear a joke and the irony that comes with it?
Here goes Ashelin going on Rayn's case about having corrupted daddy issues, and her dad was Baron Praxis and he was a worst guy than Krew, well much worst than Krew!
One the best PlayStation games in history I hope they make a remake of the trilogy
I lost count of how many times I played these games.
Still love this series thank you for covering it
Imagine a Jak and Daxter 4 with the return of Gol and Maia. Samos said it probably destroyed them....I wish so badly, that it evolved them after all these years. I mean they traveled into the future. How long have they been inside the dark eco. Imagine Metal Heads open up this Silo at some point and free them accidently and they are insanely powerful.
7:04 the nostalgia just hit me like a ton of bricks 😢
I loved Jak 1 2 and 3.
No love for Jak X, Daxter or Lost Frontier?
@@Jackthat1 I loved Jak X! So much fun having actual weapons on a race track. And not the dorky shells and banana peels like in Mario Kart. The missiles were always my favorites…and also the nova bomb
@@crimsonmaelstrom573 a person of class with great taste.
These games really do need a remaster
All the games in this series were brilliant, including the lost frontier in its own way. I rather enjoyed that game. Childhood.
Theory. Daxter, jak and tess go back in time with the precursors and basically start the entire history of Jake and daxter. Tessa and daxter found the precursor race. Jak learns and implements ways to fight the metal heads and sets the timeline for haven city and his family tree
Welcome back!
The nostalgia 😭
Daxter: Look, Old man, are you going keep yapping, or are going to help out of this mess?! 4:13
Samos: I'm going to keep yapping!
Me: (Laughing) that was a rhetorical question and he just answered it!
🤣🤣🤣
Samos was at peak humor in Precursor Legacy
4:50:05 "HEY! That's for all the times you interrupted my kisses with Keira!" 😁
My old friend is not dead, this game l miss so much!!!and rachet and clank😂❤❤
Bruh the suspense sound effect at 3:08:05 has me dead lmao
After Jak turns the water back on in the cutscene with Torn does anyone else seen the long skin colored line glitching out all over Jaks face as he interacts in the cut scene or is it just me...?
What they really should do is bring this game back no bring this franchise back by at least make a remake of it or reboot whichever comes first cuz I don't mind I just really love Jac and Daxter.
This is a video about EVERY Jak and Daxer game so of course lost frontier is included. Please stop complaining. Thank you
I remember seeing the ad on Toonami for the first time of Jak 2 and my mind was blown away as a kid. I remember it was so much different from Jak and Daxter. Wish they continued this series :(
Will we ever get jak 4 one day?!
I hope so
with woke naughty dog, they would ruin it.
@@Mohammadkwt #TransJak 4eva 😍
@@PowercellZeke he’s not trans, please stop projecting 😅 oh you’re not joking….that’s not how that works, mate. You don’t do that out of thin air🤦♀️ *sigh* is this what cringe is? You’re clearly a fan of the games and are aware he’s NOT trans 😅 so why even do the stupid hashtag thing? It’s kinda weird
@@Mohammadkwt dear god. Do you not understand what that word ACTUALLY means? It means SOCIAL INJUSTICE
I don’t know if it’s just me, but the scene where Jak gets his 3rd battle amulet is corrupt, we don’t see anything but a background.
2:39:45 Ratchet and Clank spotted.
This should have 1,000,000 views 💙👍🏼🇺🇸 that’s childhood
I loved all these games they were great stories game play
Lmao @3:21:43
Seem "This isn't a game!"
Jak and Daxter: breaks 4th wall and looks at you through screen
It would be awesome if they actually made a movie of Jak and Dexter, and hopefully it will be soon.
*this is the game that made me a gamer, i remember renting this 5 different times from Hollywood Video. *
Jak 2 was so cool to me as a kid. The open ish world and the powers and the GTA system if your good or bad with the pedestrians or police forces
I loved the jak games 1, 2, and 3 i all played the story is sweet and has great love put into the women of this game i loved growing up playing this. and i love it as an adult i havn't played the new ones but i think i will one day.
I just miss this game that and sly cooper bruh og childhood was golden with good games
I jumped at 5:27:50 with that reveal
4:27:11 Did you not notice that this cutscene bugged and we don't even see the characters when you recorded it?!
I miss that game back in days good time 🥲😔
What's going on with Jak?! A glitch in the game?! lol! 1:18:33 - 1:19:25
Jak: Great, more mucking in the mud 1:59:21
Daxter: I hate to burst your bathtub bubble baby, but that ain't just mud down there.
Me: Ewwww!!!!
SWEET!!!!!! 1:29:43 🤩🤩🤩
Bring our boys back!
Using the game shark or pelican code breaker made jak 3 super fun
Ysll remember the dumb 50 fish quest, it was so hard i asked my big sister to do it. Tuen she couldnt so we needed our dad, our dad spent most of the day trying to get 50 fish and didnt get it then i went back to it snd finally got it
Let me guess, there are spiders! In the Spider Caves!
“OF COURSE THERE ARE SPIDERS IN THE SPIDER CAVES!!”
1:18:33 Did anyone else catch that?
any one else 100% jak and daxter the precursor legacy, jak2, jak 3, and jak x
Jak and daxter, the lost frontier would have been such a game if they took the little extra time to smooth out gameplay, and changed a few things.
I think it’s such a game as it is
Where's my beloved Jak Giggle timestamps?
Still my favorite game series
I can’t help but wonder where this series would have gone if they had stuck with the structure of the original game instead of a grand theft auto clone. They did make it sound like the original boss were going to make a comeback someday.
Wait, where is Veger in Jak X? Why is he not on Kleiver's shoulder? 🤔
He probably pissed off Kleiver and wound up being a snack
@@crimsonmaelstrom573 Or Naughty Dog just didn't care anymore about consistency because they merely wanted to make a racing game which has no importance for the overall story. 😏
The nails in your eggnog 5:57:14
YOU HAVE THIS TOO AM 23 and am studying for criminal justice but am bored asf without my ps4 pro
do you think Krew would ever make Hat Kid his own erind girl in exchange for a Time Piece?
I just dont like the fact that they changed the voice actor of Jak on The Lost Frontier. Not to talk about the change or personality Jak has
4:27:10 What's up with the cutscene here?
2:42:30 is my favorite part. Samos is such a dick
Klevier: I'd say that yappy rodent of yours is a bit bony but skinned and buttered he'll make a nice treat.
Me: That's funny, he was talking about shaving, seasoning, and eating Daxter! 3:18:33
🗡🧈🧈🍗🍖🍗🍖🍗
No shit
4:27:15 has weird footage. It just shows a spargus background instead of a conversation with Damas.
