The Old town in Benidorm is lovely. I’d love to be there right now sampling the delicious Tapas and wandering around. Love your devotion btw and hope this terrible nightmare comes to an end sooner than later. Stay safe.
One of the favourite parts of our holidays to Benidorm is our regular visits to “tapas alley” . We have some great nights there, our particular favourite is the one at the start of the alley with the beer barrels as tables, spent some memorable and funny nights there trying all the different tapas not knowing what half of them were, especially octopus cooked “Americana style” as the barman explained. Have missed them this year but we’ll be back next year cannot wait, stay safe

Fab lucy. Watched on Facebook earlier & just watched again on here. Just love the tapas bars, so much to choose from. And most of all its not expensive. Love the calamari and baby squid too.🐙🤣 cant wait to get back to beautiful Benidorm, hopefully 6th of November if our flights don't get cancelled.. x 😁🥃🍤🍛🍖

I’ve done that too it’s usually so busy and I’m never sure what I should be asking for it’s a time when I wish I was good at languages.
Best thing to do is just point if you don't know how to pronounce it.😁 that's what we used to do when we first started going in them. They do get very busy though and sometimes have to fight your way to the counter.😂 I suppose it's a lot easier getting served now as they are nowhere near as busy. 😊
Sadly missing it all this year after my holiday was cancelled :( hope to be back next year !!!
We'll all meet there next year. Hopefully 2021 will be covid-free

Lucy great to see loads of Tapas I could live on them. Strange the names are slightly different I lived in Fuengirola for about 10 years & the baby squid was called (excuse spelling) chipapinos & the anchovy’s were called Bocorrones. Anyway doesn’t matter I wish I’d been eating them with a Tinto de verano. I hope to buy you a drink in Winners to say thank you for the videos when I come in October 🤞🏼Thanks Tony.
Chiperones or Chopitos here but yeah same thing and the anchovies are called the same Boquerones. lovely.. yum. hope to see you soon luv x
My wife and myself were over last year and enjoyed the pride week we had never experienced that before but it was great fun
almost all those tapas are typical from the north of Spain. Next day, try "pork ear", delicious. Really nice vid, cheers

Yes it did look like it was closed.😟 but later in the video around (5.04) you can see the entrance from the other side us open with people walking though so hopefully the other tapas bar in there is open. The one on the corner with the blue and white tiles. Hope it's back open soon. Love it there. 😊🍷🍤

@@reneglw I've been in there a few times it's not bad. Food was nice. Doesn't have the same atmosphere as Aragonesa or some others but still a nice tapas bar.. where do you think Lucy should have gone.?

Stuffed salmon luvley, plate of Chopetos even better with Alioli.......and the anchoves with garlic 🧄 in olive oil....bliss.....bit further up the same street is a great English proper fish n chip shop, but forgot it’s name.....
After watching that I'm salivating food food...x

In my opinion, the best tapa of spain is " patatas bravas" with a pint of beer .
The genuine" patatas bravas" have ketchup , and ajoaceite sauce . Ajoaceite sauce is like mayonnaise sauce but with a little garlics . Also you can find these potatoes only with brave sauce too ( repit: only with brave sauce it's especial). Anyway it's so good and with a pint of beer is the best!!!.

One of my favourite spots lovely sea views. Shame about having to wear masks just walking around. Here in UK we don't do that so slightly off putting if to go. Great vid x

Jet2 has started to cancel all holidays in October and will only be operating flights to Cyprus, Greece, Portugal and Turkey.

@@johnpaton8266 yes I really hope so.. I know there will be no fiesta on this year, but I always say it's what you make it. You can still have lots of fun and there's still plenty of bars and restaurants still open. Hopefully there might be a few more open by November..👍

No we had to close when they brought the nightlife restrictions in, hoping we can open again soon, mayne next week 🤞
when I see the impact of Covid on Benidorm and relate that across the whole Med tourist trade and how us Brits are impacted I could cry - a 2 week escape to a pleasure palace is now off limits. What do any of us have to look forward to?
ps - I love pinchos too - had them in the Basque region and Asturias - more substantial tapas.
Best thing I had though was mega sized "prawns" in Benalmadena bus station cafe of all places - cost pennies and bloody awesome

Love your videos. Thankyou so much. I did hear that possibly tapas that can lead to food sharing could spread covid. I have no idea if this is true perhaps someone knows. Also I heard bars were shut. Why some shut some open.
From what I can gather any bar which holds a food licence can stay open. If they just have a drinks licence they are closed. Crazy isn't it.. think that's why lots of bars in the new town are closed. I do feel sorry for these businesses. 😟

Lucy do you know how long the hotel pelicanos will be closing for. Is it for a few weeks or untill next year. We were ment to be there on the 3rd October after been cancelled twice this year. I Went to see my travel agent today to see what going on but they don't have any updates from the Melia group. You seem to be the only one with right information. Thank you. Bernadette xx

Baby squid fresh (and Tuna), not fried is always nice. Whitebate can’t go wrong with. Always tasty, if cooked properly. Spanish Chips for those not in the know 😂
We had a good week in Beni last week only spoiled by wearing the gag and the gag police gassing us with the fumes from their put put scooters.Kept a few bars in business though in order to take the gag off we went for a drink.We were told the other method to avoid the police was to carry a can of pop or a sandwich or the complete extreme take up smoking.
The important thing is that you went and came back safe.
or just respect the rules of the country you are visiting, and wear the mask?
