Stewart is one of my favourite drummers. Sting is, among other, more positive things (yes, I know, I know... I'm surprised myself that I wrote this), an annoying, self-important, pretentious and right insufferable nagger. Bashing Gordo is easy and more often than not a justifiable act. But to say that it was merely Stewart plus the other two (admittedly amazing) guys is just plain wrong. The Police wouldn't have been the powerhouse that we love so much without Stewart Copeland. True. But the band would most probably have gone nowhere near the place that they have reached without those other guys. Without Sting's songs and voice the Police would not have happened. Without Andy's guitar and his sonic landscapes the Police would not have happened. It was always the three of them, with their individual approaches and ideas, against all odds unified as one single entity. And the creative and personal differences that caused all that friction and, ultimately, led to their demise, were precisely the driving force, the decisive element that made it all happen. The Police could only be The Police because it was exactly THOSE THREE GUYS coming together and doing their thing.
I love Stewart Copeland, but he has the most obnoxious fans on UA-cam. Dismissing Sting and Andy as the “two other guys” is so incredibly stupid and obnoxious. But, hey, you got a few likes from the dregs of the Krypton Forum. It’s funny, because Copeland detests those who diss Sting. He’s always the first to defend “Stingo.”
What a ridiculous thing to say. It’s Sting who came up with these classic songs. Also, Andy Summers is a brilliant world class guitarist.I love Stuart Copeland but have more respect
The Police is about the sound for me, first and foremost, the amalgamation of these three brilliant, amazing musicians…the hits are the vehicles and they are some of my favorites tunes ever, but they can also play covers or the national anthem for all I care, and I’ll listen.
The studio recording has a delay as well. It’s not really possible to play the recorded drum part in one take without a delay. Makes the song so unique
Stewart Copeland - Perfection.
This is how you age gracefully as a band.
Amen
True masters of their respective domains. No one does it better
What a glorious voice!! This is the best band! They're all phenomenal!!
Stewart Copeland, um dos maiores bateristas do mundo. O mais completo.
No hay duda.
The best band ever.
...when they were in their prime.
They are number 3 of all time. Led Zeppelin number 1, Smashing Pumpkins number 2. Zeppelin is the gold standard for all of time and eternity.
Hey they're bad as hell but the best ever... Ummm.. Well.. I don't know bout that
It’s the Stewart Copeland show.
Damn right!
Sting just casually speaking spanish
every time i remember that the Police is a trio... amazing

Sí, de los mejores.
No leí a Jeff Porcaro..otro grande
It's Stewart Copeland with the two other guys. They're all amazing but without Copeland there is absolutely no Police.

You could find a million drummers that’ll get the job done before you find another sting, so that makes you wrong a million times wrong.

Sting with an acoustic guitar is a king.

One of the male music artists that I look up to, Sir "Sting"🎸🎤🎼👌
every police hit demonstrates how great Sting is at what he does, Andy is at what he does& Copeland is at what he does.
I know now why I love this band so much. It begins and ends with Stewart Copeland!
