I'm liking the unit card display you've started using when introducing the different comps, and another enjoyable replay with great commentary as always.
See Joe what I think happend if you rewatch is that the cataphracs were click ed onto the archers but they hadn't put thier spears down cause they got caught by the infantry before hitting the belaric slingers. So it was down to what unit he clicked and the spears not going down when they got caught
I think the reason why catas charge was so bad vs those slingers is that he hit trample just before they connect, which probably canceled initial attack order. Giving many attack orders in quick rows may stop units for seconds when they are in charging animation. Its probably best to use special powers in right distance. Another thing I notice when doing some tests, that using special powers may actually lead to defeat, because if you dont defeat enemy unit quick enough, your unit will become exhausted and some of his fighting stats will receive -50% penalty like Melee Attack. Which is the reason why you need to use that second wind ability.
Not sure it might have to do with distance of the enemy unit? But I have seen units throw javelins when they are already in melee also.......Rome 2 issues
Defending Rome ran through deployables, when doing that flank attack along the wall after first half of battle. I hate those, you put them with a plan and then battle changes, so that you forget about them. They are like mines, they can hinder both sides, regardless who did lay them.
Eeeeeeewwwww deployable holes Wierd Rome comp but I mean it did ok.Good placement of archers by Parthia and good Parthia cav Egyptian charriot teamwork Attacking rome prob DC'd at the end

It would be great if CA introduced an "auto fire unless broken" stance for ranged units

"He who fights and runs away may live to fight another day" 😀
honestly if that seleucid general didn't dry fire on the chariots halfway through the battle this could have been a different story
Dunno. They wouldn't have lost all the chariots and there were the 2 cataphract units zoning in a few seconds later...?
Funny how selucid chillling then the next min got wiped.
It's magic!
Man, that chariot unit came in clutch on those pikes
Surely the savior of the battle
wow alot of kills enjoyed watching
My respects to the Eqypt players chariot use! :)
Done with school work now let’s get into the real work
Awesome coverage joe
I saw this title,I saw the thumbnail and i immediately loved it
yes, great battle!!
Thx for the juicy Battle and by the way you've really a pleasant voice (-;
I see chariots in the thumbnail and I just know it’s going to be a good video.
Persian light archers can pack a Syrian punch!
Can someone explain defrending rome's army build :D I thought the funds were small or something :D
Maybe a rush high dmg force?
@@joeonitproductions But what I meant was that looked like he'd have more funds to use after such units.
True
Love the army
This should be fun !
AHHHHHHHHH
Why do some units "dry fire" on javelins?

@@joeonitproductions That sucks. Seems like such an easy thing for them to have troubleshooted and fixed

Another reason why I hate them and don't allow use of deployables in my streams lol.
