It's so fun looking back through the years of Civ 6. I still have the save file from my first game: Gorgo from the day the game dropped. I was on vacation with my wife for our first anniversary and played the game on my laptop. We're divorced now. Odd

I have a recommendation if you are redoing some of the old series. there was a game where you used a modded gilgabro who had all unique specialty districts. you can redo that with a mod that can turn civs not in the game into city states. so if you don't have Japan and Germany in the game, you can have them as city states and have their abilities by suzerining them. it will be a lot of fun
Are you and Inquisitive Otter playing the same map today? He met Japan first as well. The only difference, Tokugawa denounced him upon first meet I think.
Btw., "Wolin" is pronounced more like "Volin", not "Wool-in". The name supposedly comes from some archaic slavic word "vol", which translates to "wet" or "watery" (as Wolin is an island as much as a town). There are some interesting locations nearby, too - such as "The hanged men's hill". The town was (during it's long history) a free city, a great merchant hub, and a viking warlord's staging area, among other things. ;) Currently, annual "Slavs and Vikings Festival" takes place there.
It's just reference to a joke he makes nearly every time he takes the tithe religious belief because it sounds similar. One of many bad jokes on this channel that we love. "You know what time it is, time to get my TITHE cleaned" type of thing. You'll see it in other vids 👍

If you're up for a little conquering (who am I kidding, a Lot) while not really being concerned if you can easily settle more than 3 cities, one dose of the Raven King will fill your appetite. Obviously more can and probably should be settled, but with Hungary, it doesn't really matter. Those levied swordsmen/man at arms with rams and towers Will be able to full kill at least one civ with ease (before you've even unlocked your OP Black Army). Then keep going or chill out and do whatever you want. I had a fun game w them using City Patron goddess, definitely not optimal for a low settling/high conquering game. But my word those first districts across rivers got slammed down so fast my head spun.
I really hope you will make another series about Tokugawa to get massive internal trade routes, Yong Le (or how it is spelled the chinese emperor) and maybe even Inca to try to get a massive city, and hopefully in at least one of those series I hope there would be the expanded great people list mod.
What I like about you is that you are a meticulous planner. Japan looked about to beat the hell out of you, but you levied the military from the local city state and beat the hell out of him instead.
Ursa! You don't actually pay maintenance for levied units, so conscription did nothing here! The Extrended Policy Card mod tell you you're saving gold but its not actually true, I've tested it myself. You had +11 gold per turn before you put it at 29:15 and it didnt increase after.
So you can see at 29:35 I do indeed lose gold in maintenance when I upgrade a swordsman - remember that all the levied warriors cost nothing because they have no gold cost, swordsman alas do! It's why Varangian Norway is so strong, -2 gold per troop maintenance builds very fast into something cool!
@@UrsaRyanAt 29:42, still the same turn as the upgrade at turn 59, it goes back up to +11. Plus there were already a few swordsmen before then. Unless you did something between cuts to push it back up. I swear it, I just reviewed a Hungary save with industrial units and 2500 military strength with only -18 from maintenance from the few outdated units and siege towers I built myself. Conscription promised me +59 gold but after putting it in it was just +9. Tried upgrading a unit, and the game did register a decrease in gpt for a second before it went back to how it was before on the same turn. Y'know after doing the thing where you have a city focus on a specific yield and cancelling it and the game corrects itself on yields. I swear I'm not crazy, I even have screenshots. Please do give it a look. Love your vids!
I could never make Hungary work. Whenever I try doing something like this, there are no city states nearby, or they have no yields and produce 0 units. That is why I prefer Byzantium for crusading start
Time is running out so nows my last chance. I asked a while ago. I want to see you play a default game, no mods, no game modes, no secret societies. But I want to see it on the easiest difficulty. You always play on diety, then diety ++ then even more difficult. Perfectly fine, but I was to see a comparison with what it's like when the AI isn't literally cheating. Or you could do whatever difficult gives everyone the same stats. No 300% boost to production, no starting with 5 warrior. Everyone is on the same level. How much can Ursa Ryan own AI when they have no advantages. It could showcase your skills, it would also be hilarious. You could do a longer 1 off video as I'd doubt the game would take as long as usual. Ne way, maybe I'll get lucky and if not, meh.
If I had a nickel coffee everytime Japan is the closest neighbour and the biggest warmonger just to bet wiped by the Player + Peter Russia I'd have 2 nickels, with isn't a lot but it's weird I saw this happen twice today.

I didn't understand Hungary's ludicrous might before your videos. Since then I had a lot of fun playing this civ (especially with Himiko)
Crusade+General+Himiko+Oligarchy+Hungary's bonus makes monsters out of levied units.
Hungary is one of those civs that on paper sounds weird - but when you play them, it just works
its so great to have the daily uplaods again. I missed my daily dose of ursa(streams are not my thing=)

I think you need to play a higher level to show that a civ is actually strong. Deity is too easy
It lets me play fun strats though, higher difficulties are entertaining but make me play a very set way!
