Got 2 rolls of 120 the other day to test out. 1 for the Rolleiflex and 1 hot the Holga. Will be on a job shooting 4x5 but these rolls are reserved for “goofing off” on location 😉
These types of films put the fun back into photography. A fun that is sadly lacking due to the near dominance of digital workflow. Perhaps not for commercial shoots, but it is a lot of fun.
Interesting. I always take my work to a lab. They can do a better job than I ever could. Indoors always use window light, flash, a handheld light meter or slower shutter speeds or open up your fstop. They say to only underexpose slide film by one stop. And if you Schoot film like Phoenix at higher ISOs use plenty of light
I simply don't understand using Film in age of Digital! I am 80,, processing all my work! I was not easy or fun! Digital happened after I retired as a Pro! My 1st weekend with digital was FUN! Each their own choice! Would I have used this Film as a pro, NO, NEVER! I would not dare!
It’s interesting how different processes make their way back around again! I think a big part of the charm of film photography for this younger generation is, although we might have experienced it on a small level in our childhood, we never truly had the experience of shooting it and investing ourselves in the process. For me, the process is what I like about film photography. Compared to digital photography and everything else we have in this instant age, it’s a nice reminder to slow down again.
Thanks for doing this test! In-depth look at the scanning process was helpful for getting an idea of what's possible
Ah, I'm so glad! Thanks so much for watching!
I’m excited for this one!
Thanks Han!
I love the results. And I know this Harman Phenix film beast is quite difficult to tame but you did just fine!
Thank you!

Absolutely agree! It’s more of a creative stock than it is professional, I feel.
Interested to see what future project idea you shoot with this stock
Looking forward to putting it out!!
