That movie is so twisted and dark. I mean it is Japanese and they do twisted and dark better than anyone. good lord. The scene that messed me up the most was him just standing there literally eating peaches while watching that horrific video of him getting beaten and r*ped. I would throw up if I saw that. How could he stand there EATING while watching it?? That scene still screws me up whenever I see anything from this movie. Such a toxic 'relationship' but at least it had a semi-happy ending? My head canon is that they escaped somewhere safe and were able to turn their lives around. I doubt that's what happened, but that's what I chose to think happened.
